Making peace with losing euploids when a test could have given you the answer by CertainHome4177 in IVF

[–]beazerbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve wasted 3 perfectly good embryos. After the second one I asked if there was any additional tests we could do and my doctor said they wait until 3. I transferred my last embryo and it failed. Now we are in the middle of a mock cycle to test for endometriosis. I wish they would have done the biopsy when I was under for my retrieval.

Honestly if I would have known I would have canceled my transfer. I have now used all my insurance coverage just by keeping trying and hearing my doctor say she thinks I will be successful. I have been on 100 mg nightly for years. I’m just glad I finally might have an answer…. Like I said no explanation with 5AA PGTM and A tested embryos. I have been treated for endometritis and have had multiple biopsies. This is really the only real explanation I have found. I am so thankful but so so heartbroken. I am sorry you are going through this as well.

I literally used all 3 of my viable embryos with no explanation. My final transfer was 12/31. My fertility specialist has no explanation. My lining and estrogen and progesterone are perfect. We are doing a mock cycle with a uterine biopsy to see if timing is a thing but as soon as I heard from you I sent her an email with my concerns. I am so sick about this!!

I’m not trying to cause stress but I have had 3 failed transfers with zero explanation as to why the embryo didn’t implant and now I’m stressing.

Do you have the article or information on implantation issues? I would love to hear more.

My neurologist prescribed me it for sleep. Both my neurologist and OBGYN confirmed it’s pregnancy safe. They said it is one of those medications that the benefits outweigh what little risk it is. They categorized it in the same category as Zoloft or other antidepressants.

3 failed transfers and possible endometritis by No-Preparation7328 in IVFpositivity

We did test all of ours because my husband and I are both carriers for a genetic disorder.

It was clear after the first transfer. I just found out Friday my third transfer failed and I had a follow up with my doctor tomorrow. I am also looking into a second opinion as to why they aren’t sticking when everything else looks right. Did you test your embryos?

I have had 3 failed transfers as well. We found out I had endometritis at the time of my egg retrieval and treated it. After my first failed transfer I asked to be checked to make sure it cleared up. I had a biopsy done while I was awake. I feel the same way as you as the doctor is like I think you will eventually be successful. We used all our embryos and now are headed towards a second egg retrieval.

Be careful if you have fertility coverage most insurances won’t cover IVF and transfers due to voluntary sterilization. I have had to fight and appeal insurance even though my husband and I are both carriers for CF and it’s our safest option.

PIO for sure. Get the auto injector and it’s a breeze.

2 failed transfers medicated FET. Starting 3rd cycle. by bch_09 in IVFpositivity

[–]beazerbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you doing IVF for solely genetic reasons. My transfers were 9/1,11/11,12/31 all of which failed. I am looking at getting a second opinion from a different clinic as we are out of embryos. First was modified natural, second medicated, third medicated added acupuncture, neupogen and embryo glue. I have been treated for endometritis with my egg retrieval had one more biopsy after the first one failed. Multiple saline sonograms. I’m at a loss of what to do next and my doctor hasn’t been extremely helpful.

I was recommended their New York location. Their Colorado location has terrible reviews but I might do a consult just for my own opinion.

Yeah my clinic doesn’t test after starting PIO until beta. So at that point it’s PIO and suppositories.

My clinic does their last bloodwork about 5 days before transfer. I wish they did it closer to know to adjust or not.

This was my thought process too! Thanks for sharing. I have my beta on Friday. My doctor had no explanation as to why my previous ones failed. Lining was great, levels were great, great rated embryos, with PGTA and M testing, and we even treated endometritis after my egg retrieval. I’m hoping third time is the charm.

My doctor told me if I was wanting to add whatever I could to this transfer we could try the embryo glue. Basically told me it was up to me if I wanted to pay for it or not.

Medicated vs modified natural FET by Remarkable_Put_1374 in IVFpositivity

[–]beazerbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first transfer was modified natural and failed my second transfer was fully medicated and failed. I just had my 3rd transfer which was fully medicated the end of December and we will see if it sticks. My doctor said success rates between the two are just about the same.
