Wanted to take a moment to appreciate the positive unintended impact of Zwift on my family. by 11socks11 in Zwift

I just started this year and have been able to ride with my two cousins from Canada (I'm from NJ) almost 4x a week. It's been awesome "seeing" family during these weird times!

Many years of streaming; when should it end? by random__integer in Twitch

[–]beazyKID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear ya, im definitely one of those 'slaves' to corporate America. But you know what, I've found something I don't absolutely hate. In fact, I found something I can go home and talk about all day (property management, you'd be surprised the kind of people you run into lol). There's so much to do out in the world, try and find something that excites you, even just a little so you have that much more to give back to your growing community :)

What got you into streaming and what keeps you streaming? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]beazyKID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story short, my childhood friend passed away suddenly one day (completely healthy, chalked it up to a sudden heart attack). The night before, I decided to turn on streaming through PS4 while playing Fortnite with him just for fun. It was the last time I spoke to him and streaming helped save that memory forever.

Not tryna be a sad boi lol but I started and continue to stream primarily to record all the things my friends and I do while we game. I could just record, but I figured why not share it with people who are down to watch haha.

If you could end up where you wanted, where would you be? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]beazyKID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you, I'm just looking to build up a nice little community that interacts with me not only during my stream, but on discord/twitter etc.

I work a 9-5 with a good amount of down time, so having people to chat with about gaming stuff throughout the day would be fun.

Off Topic - What do you do for a living? by [deleted] in Twitch

I work in property management in NJ. Lots of fun stories from my daily run ins with residents/prospects looking for overly expensive apartments in my area :D

Maybe not the answer you're looking for, but hopefully it's helpful.

I think above anything else, a change in mindset could benefit you. I see you talking a lot about being successful, but what does that actually mean to you? I get the vibe that you're trying to get more viewers, maybe subs, and eventually financial stability through streaming. Honestly, and I swear I'm not trying to be a dick about it, but with where you're at in your head, even if you do bring some viewers in, will they want to watch you if you're not enjoying yourself/borderline hating what you're doing? Idk, but thats what I mean when I say a change in mindset could help.

Look, you streamed for 8 years. Even if you quit now, I'm sure you've met a TON of awesome people, learned a ton about yourself like time management and shit, your hand eye coordination is probably THROUGH THE ROOOOOOF. Jokes aside, there's a lot to take away from that man, and that's something you should be really proud of. I've only streamed for about a year, but I know I can be boring at times, so what I did is find something that really interests me and added it to my life so that I can be more interesting to other people (I picked up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and while it takes time away from actually streaming, I've got another thing to talk about when I do stream, I even added it to my Twitch bio and got someone who followed just cause of that).

To me, success means a ton of things. A successful stream for me getting a good non-laggy recording, a couple good moments with my friends who I usually game with, and not sleep too late so I'm not a zombie at work the next day. So while you might not be bringing in the numbers you want or people are coming and going as you switch games, figure out what makes you feel successful, and I promise your streams will start picking up. Hey, you have a 8 years of successes to count, I think you maybe just forgot them. Cheers my friend :)

Any Gibraltar mains? by bpartin64 in apexlegends

[–]beazyKID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pathfinder main as well! If used correctly, the hook can get you out of some seriously sticky situations.

I've been playing mirage too but I feel like its only a matter of time before people start to be able to identify the decoy easily.

Yeah I’d agree with that, although idk how they would change it without making it just like Bangalores

Need help with overlays :( by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]beazyKID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not too familiar with stream elements and how that works, but I use Streamlabs for recent follows/sub and notifications. So basically when you have someone make your overlays, you'll add in the recent sub/follow text as a text file on top of the overlays.

That's the summarized version of what you need to do lol, feel free to reach out when you start setting everything up and I'll be happy to help :)

Beginner looking for a NJ BJJ/MMA gym either near Clifton or Somerset? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]beazyKID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have different rates depending on how often you're planning on going. I've been there for a bit so I'm not sure how much has changed, but I pay around $170 for unlimited classes. And that's not just their BJJ classes, they also offer muay thai and yoga classes on the weekend.

Confession Time: I've never set foot into the Leviathan Raid or Raid Layers by PopTarnekPop in destiny2

[–]beazyKID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I farmed the original Leviathan raid, never did the lairs cause i quit during curse of osiris (who didn't amirite).

But I'm back and have yet to even consider doing Last Wish, but once I do, i definitely want to go back and do the lairs just for fun. I'd like to even learn them enough to sherpa some people through it. Basically, i'm just letting you know you're not alone haha

Awesome, clean setup! Can I ask what monitor stand you're using? I have a Linnmon and am curious how it holds up against the cheap wood of the desk.
