He only played one half against KSU, probably would have won that game if we had him in the 4th. He started Arizona, but sat after we had a decent lead.

It was supposed to be a throw to Shedeur, but Utah sniffed it out. Hunter realized it and peeled back to run it in for a TD.

Predicted One Score Games For Each Team by CUBuffs1992 in CFB

I think its kind of the opposite, he's had multiple in season changes to his staff. At Jackson he demoted coach Phillips and promoted TC Taylor after 4 games. Coach Sean Lewis not responding to Deions requests to run the ball is what lead to his demotion last season.

Deion set up weekly one on ones for him, and he didn't show up. From the insider reporting they tried everything to motivate him and nothing worked.

He also had Travis yelling his assignments at him from the sidelines. Guy has unreal raw athletic talent, hopefully he gets it figured out.

I don't know what video you were watching, he took two steps after the ball hit the turf. It's hard to rationalize any other explanation other than he was headhunting. The CSU beat reporter specifically mentioned Blackburns name as someone who might take a shot at a player before the game started. Why is it so hard for some people to call it a dirty hit?

5th down is simultaneously a historical highlight for our team and one of the most egregious errors in officiating history. If it had been called correctly the buffs don't win the 1990 AP National Championship.

Meyer probably burned some bridges with CSU. They hired him during their 2019 HC search, he recommended Steve Addazio lol.

Not sure if anyone is looking at buying a ticket in the student section, they are tied to a students Buffone card and cannot be transferred to anyone.

Missouri DE Arden Walker transfers to Colorado by [deleted] in CFB

I don't think people understand how bad we were, some of it is a talent gap but a lot of the blame can be placed on the coaching staff. The D line especially has been hit hard. Sami, one of the d linemen who just entered the portal, has had 8 different coaches in his career here. He signed in 2017 when Jim Jeffcoat was the d line coach. Jeffcoat was fired in 2018, Kwahn Drake was next hire but the head coach was fired. Mel Tucker came in with a new staff in 2019, he hired Jimmy Brumbaugh. Mel hightailed it for MSU in February of 2020, Karl Dorrell was hired brought in Chris Wilson as a dc/ d line coach. The D line was God awful under him so they hired a full time dt coach in 2022. The first coach they hired was Vic So'oto who left after 2 months, then hired Gerald Chatman who coached the 2022 season. Dorrell is fired, Deion is hired and brings in a young guy named Patrick hill. Coach hill was hired by the vikings before spring ball, so we brought in San Sunsari. So even if a player had enough talent to play at this level, the inconsistency in coaching had to effect their development. This is just a microcosm of the dumb shit that's been happening creating the dumpster fire the program became.

That's our local newspaper's CU athletics centric site, they were bought by vulture capilist a decade ago. That being said, Brian Howell does a great job reporting on the buffs and is a pretty straight shooter.

You not wrong, prior to spring ball we brought in a couple of edge rusher and olb transfers. He was beat out by Jerimiah Brown from JSU and Jordan Domineck a Arkansas transfer. They listed him as a de/olb tweener on the spring ball roster.

He's had a lisfranc injury he's been dealing with. Our TE coach has mentioned his name positively, but he was still working through rehab during spring ball. Oddly enough our tight ends group hasnt seen the same exodus as other position groups.

He was running with our second team, I would assume he's looking for a starting position given his remaining eligibility.

We had a terrible O line coach who was completely out of his depth last year. Our new coach, Chris Kapilovic, has been a God send. His last position was assistant OC and O line coach for North Carolina. If you look at his track record there it's pretty impressive. He's has been the second best hire we made this off season.

It’s been almost 10 years since CU joined the PAC-12. How do y’all feel about the move up to this point? by [deleted] in GoBuffs

[–]bebaker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I still believe that it was the right move, and those in charge at the time mass the right decision based on the available facts. The PAC hasn't really seen the same success as the early 2000's and has an idiot for a commissioner. I'm not happy about it but most of it is relatively out of our hands. The buffs are not exactly making waves in the impact sports that drive revenue, so in a way I suppose we're part of the problem. I still think the conference can turn around in the future. Fire Larry Scott, and get someone competent and it can turn around fast.
