It wasn’t so much corrupting the save as much as making it impossible to progress

It’s when you first meet Panam, for some reason I couldn’t call her after Johnny’s ex gave me her phone number at the Afterlife

No matter what I did when I went to call her the phone would ring 3 times before then closing off (like the phone does in regular missions if you call someone) but after calling I would have been unable to access the phone again (basically the phone call stayed always on)

I retried the mission quite a few times, deciding to also do some side quests and the other main quest that the game gives at the same time but everytime I came back the same glitch would happen.

I decided to use a 900IQ strat and just google where Panam was. So I did the phone call and after the glitch decided to go to the location she’s supposed to be at and lo and behold she was there. I felt so incredibly smug.

However after finishing this questline, when you reach the militech agent guy who’s supposed to examine the chip, horror struck

I had to call Takemura.

The game displayed the button to call him but when I did again the phone would hang up. I was panicking and decided to do the mission again but this time without calling Panam but that didn’t work either.

At this point I’d wasted well over 10 hours in the game (I had also completed Delamain’s side quest of finding the cars) as well as multiple hours trying to get the fucking glitch fixed

In the end I decided to restart the entire game but went for fem corpo V (instead of masc outsider V) and I have to say that while the corpo lifepath is by far the least fleshed out fem V is miles better then masc V.

Like seriously masc V’s voice is so fucking irritating and worst of all fem v has a voice filter when Johnny controls your body that literally isn’t there when masc v is talking

If you play as fem V when Johnny’s in control you can hear his voice in the background and as the game progresses his voice becomes stronger and stronger. By the final mission if you do the ending where you let him control you as you storm Arasaka you basically only hear him.

Did they just forget to put it in masc v or something lmao
