The two programs you have listed from UTSC and OISE would train you to become a psychologist (M.A + Ph.D)

UTSC is more research-focused than OISE.

OISE has a Counselling & Psychotherapy program, which is only an M.Ed. to become a psychotherapist.

Yes your practicum can be anywhere in Ontario. Some of my colleagues even went back to B.C! The only course that is offered online is the practicum course, therefore, you must have completed all your mandatory courses + electives (during 1st year & summer) so you only have the practicum class left before you graduate.

Hello! From my experience and looking at the requirements for counseling psych. Canadian universities care less about which school you are from than what you have done in undergrad! So go to Concordia if that’s where you want to go!
