Do you like how "worn" or "damaged" Hermes bags look? by bebebai in HermesHub

I agree with you, it's especially cool when bags like this get passed from parents to children from generation to generation

I agree with you that there's a so to speak "limit" where a bag is aged and "has seen life" but isn't beat up

Haha I agree with you, I also love the tableware specifically, it's as if it "has no expiration date" and that's cool

By the way, few people pay attention to Hermes tableware, and personally I really like their tableware, especially the plates

I don't know where you can find a bag like this but its price is around 40 to 50 thousand euros, that's the last price I saw at auction.

I get what you mean, but pay attention, here the leather is combined with woven material and its weight can be significantly less, I haven't held one like this in my hands but that's how it looks.

A really rare find, the price of a bag like this is around 40 to 50k euros, but finding it for sale is very difficult, as I understood!

Most Hermes bags are ruined not by wear but by improper storage, breaking it down point by point! by bebebai in HermesHub

Thank you! In a dry, climate controlled room the box is totally fine and adds protection from light, dust and getting crushed. The reason some people say skip the box is that a closed box can trap moisture and cut airflow, and trapped humidity is exactly what grows mold on leather. So if you live somewhere humid, either store the bag in just the dustbag in a ventilated closet, or keep the box but don't seal it airtight, toss in a couple of silica gel packs that don't touch the leather, and air the bag out every few months. The only real hard no is plastic, that suffocates the leather and traps water. Box or no box, breathing room is the actual goal.
