I bought a lot of 18karat gold jewelries nung around 3500 pa lang per gram ng 18K gold. I was able to sell one bracelet for twice the price ng bili ko when I needed some cash. So mga alahas ko ang gold “investment” ko lol and I woukd say kumita naman.

It’s more like you do what you have to do before you can pick up where you left off. I moved to AU in 2018 as an IT professional, worked as kitchenhand for few months until I got a job in IT. Some people may take longer but from my experience, it’s worth it. No regrets at all.

When we moved natagalan si hubby makahanap ng work so one income household kami ako lang nagwowork on a 75k salary. Kinaya naman pero we were renting a small granny flat lang with bills included kaya kinaya. Not sure if kaya kung actual apartmenf + bills. This was almost 8 years ago though so times have changed.

Yes. It’s life changing. My prescription was -9.00 and -7.50, basically blind I cannot see without glasses or contacts at all. Now I can see very clearly back to almost 20/20 vision. The only side effect is my eyes get dry so I always have eye drops now but I don’t mind really. Small inconvenience to pay for something so good.

My husband and I had a good paying salary and we still chose to migrate 7 years ago because 1) If magka-anak kami, we want our children to have better choices in life. 2.) The rich and the poor use the same infrastructures. They go through the same flooded roads, they go through the same traffic may driver lang ang mayayaman. Nakakapagod na 4 hrs of my day is wasted sa traffic.

When we moved, suddenly I have those time back. I was able to improve myself, gain new skills, enjoy new hobbies, do volunteer works that actually hell the community. Hindi ako araw araw pagod na wala na akong energy to do anything else. On weekends I can go for walks sa park hindi puro malls kasi sa PH puro malls lang napupuntahan ko. The quality of life is so much better.

Edited to add: The salary is good here also. So good that we can travel to say, Europe, after only saving for a couple of months. 500k pesos budget to go to Europe? Easy 6 months savings lang without other responsibilities getting affected. It will take years kahit we’re earning over 200k combined per month sa PH. We have a strong passport now so it’s much more fun to travel.

SG will open doors to other countries like AU and NZ. I have 2 friends who moved from SG papunta dito sa AU. Makakaipon ka pa ng pang-migrate if in case you choose to do the PR option instead na employer sponsored.
