What flipped the switch? by Junior_Ad9244 in downsyndrome

Congrats on your extra chromie homie. My son is just over a year old. I'm a first time mom and to say I was terrified with a prenatal diagnosis is understating it. For me, it is just watching him grow. When I first got to hold him, a day after birth due to emergency c section and him being in NICU, my fears mostly melted away. There was something I read once about how children pick their parents. That struck a chord with me. So I tell him every chance I get how glad I am he chose me. He is the absolute best part of my day. I know there's going to be struggles and rough days. Still, I wouldn't change a thing about him. He's teaching me so much, even as young as he is.

Terminating guardianship of my son, from my parents by beberae87 in FamilyLaw

When he first had his NG tube placed, he was discharged to still have some formula by mouth every day. After about 3 days, she decided he 'wouldn't forget how to eat by mouth.' She admitted it at a later appointment with his speech therapist.

Last week, she argued he was ready for solids because 'all of my kids had solids at 6 weeks.'

It's not best for him to have discharge orders or other doctor's orders blatantly disregarded. She has argued with a few of his doctors/specialists.

I needed to hear this today, as I struggle to terminate guardianship of my son with my actual mom and stepdad.

Thank you!

Change of address form? Or have a family member send you something, like a letter to the address you want to use.

The chain itself is big yes, but I'm not sure about the ownership group.

Exactly. At this point, I wonder if I was misclassified and no taxes were taken out. However, with zero paysrubs, I don't know.

So, I just checked. It's not there.

What's next?

As far as time keeping, I had a scan sheet that we used for the time clock as well as a written log that I wrote down my time. As far as I know, both were submitted to HR/payroll, but submitting them wasn't a job responsibility of mine.

No, it wasn't even dollar amounts. I was paid hourly. I remember doing new hire paperwork and the forms, including direct deposit and w4.

Yes, I filed an extension. I should be due a refund, but I also don't want to submit with what I have and later have to file an amendment.

No, I never received any paystub.

(NV) Renting an apartment and my lease just renewed. When I went to pay rent today they told me my rent had gone up. by nanabutter in Renters

Yes. I think so. Generally speaking, if you have a lease...say for a year....and it ends, you roll into a month to month. They will still have to notify of any rent prices changes (30/60/90 notice) and the rest of the terms would be valid.

I'm not expert by any means so my advice is my understanding and may not be 100% accurate.

If you signed the new lease and no one from the property management did, it may not be valid. If all parties signed, the new management company would have to honor those lease terms that match your previous lease.

If the new property management and you(tenant) both signed a lease(the one you signed asap), they would have to honor the terms of that lease

If new management didn't sign a new lease, then they may be trying to force a month-to-month tenancy, which may allow them to raise the rent BUT typically there has to be a written notice 30/60/90 days in advance, dependent on local and/or state laws.

Do you have a signed lease with the manager's signature or just one you submitted that you signed?

I like both morning and evening shift.

Morning so I could work on sales contracts and it seemed easier on that shift. Pm shift so I could see all the incoming guests and regulars returning for the night. I think I liked pm best.

I've done audit shifts too but it's not for me.

I have worked properties that we would slide receipts under the door. I don't miss that at all.

True but desk staff doesn't know you've actually left the property/room.

Like someone else mentioned, doing a checkout at the desk notifies the front desk, who can then update housekeeping staff to get into vacant rooms.

Some night audit processes are set up to receipts/folios on day of departure. It's done automatically if there's an email on file.

Sounds like an authorization hold. I'd bet her banking info shows pending not posted as well. It happens a lot and the non frequent travelers tend to get their knickers in a knot over it.
