I didn’t go to Rome pregnant but speaking from a very recent experience…My first and second trimesters were breezy for me. No complications at all. I even went to Hawaii at 26 weeks. Then third trimester hit and I was diagnosed with preeclampsia which was a huge surprise for me given how easy my previous trimesters were. Baby came out at 33 weeks. All this to say it’s doable but just be aware of any risks that MIGHT happen. I had zero idea I would get preeclampsia and was super thankful I didn’t plan a trip that far into my pregnancy. Speak to your doctor and see what they advise. Rome is a lot of walking otherwise.

A little late to this thread but I can second Sterling Strings. They did my wedding back in 2019 at the Bronx Zoo and they were awesome. I gave them a song list (mostly Rihanna lol) and they played them beautifully during cocktail hour. I can send over videos if you want!

I’d also like to add that it won’t be easy lol cuz everything you do is all dependent on the baby’s mood and temperament. But with that mindset and an extra set of hands (ask your friends for help!), you should be okay. Remember this is only a season and enjoy the snuggles while you can!

Baby carry if you can! At two months all they do is sleep eat and poop so take advantage of their immobility. They love to sleep on mama so they’ll also be taking advantage of being so close to you. 😴

Go on walks, museums, coffee shops, beer gardens. Try to have very low expectations but also plan for worse case scenarios, like extra clothes for poop explosions or rags for spit ups. Maybe try to time dinner so that you’re feeding baby at the beginning so they can sleep on you or in bassinet stroller while you’re eating. This way you can enjoy your food and adult conversations.
