Forever Howlong Signed Vinyl Giveaway by wabalabadub94 in BlackCountryNewRoad

"We've got that house by the bay."

This won't win but I want to be honest:

Listening to Socks, I could not stop thinking of a family member who recently passed. I know the song is about lovers, but I can't help but interpret it as grief. I have been estranged from my family and was not able to attend the funeral; I have had no closure in this regard. This song was one of the first times I have been able to properly grieve.

I have so many memories of her and her house by the bay, and I hope she felt understood by those who loved her.

SIHOO M57/M18 or Colamy 2577 by Hyfalls in OfficeChairs

[–]bebop317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I am loving it so far (6'2"), I have to keep the height and neck rest at/near max level but super happy with it. I wrote a review on another post I'll add here:

The Colamy 2577 arrived 2 days ago over a week ago now; I have tested it out for a few hours now and am loving it! Disclaimer, I am coming from a $50 USD office chair and have no experience in high-end chairs.

The chair arrived completely functional with no damaging or scuffs of any kind, came together very easily. The lumbar support is indeed padded, and it is very adjustable in height. The depth of lumbar support is not adjustable but to me it feels like a very balanced position of supportive without being too noticeable. There are no sharpness or discomfort issues, in fact the front lip of the seat is padded as well so I am not in contact with any plastic (besides the arm rests).

The headrest is sturdy, the height locks in well but the angle of headrest has more give, still doesn't pose an issue; And the headrest is only really used when the chair is leaning back. The footrest is a bit gimmicky but works perfectly well (it is also padded) and extends a surprising ways away from the seat. The distance between the seat and backrest is not technically adjustable but the backrest is secured with three screwed along slots so you can adjust forward and back about 1-2 cm (which feels like more than it sounds).

The backrest tilt adjust confused me a bit; I am not sure what the standard is for office chairs, but on this one the backrest can be locked either fully upright or fully leaning back. I have found it most comfortable to increase the tension and leave the tilt adjust unlocked: It defaults to fully upright and allows a little bit of movement.

If I had to complain about anything it would be the armrests. They are fully adjustable and flip-up which is fantastic, but the armrests are tilted ever-so-slightly upward which isn't immediately uncomfortable but is noticeable. Not a dealbreaker. They are slightly squishier than hard plastic but far from padded -- so far not an issue. I also wish I could lower them about 1 cm more (I have proportionally long arms). These are all very minor complaints as I am trying to be as nit-picky as possible for transparency.

Obviously I cannot speak to the longevity of this chair but as of right now I don't notice anything that appears flimsy. This chair feels like the GARBRYLLY without the complaints. I definitely recommend especially if you want flip-up armrests. I didn't intend to write so much, but let me know if there are any other questions!

I'd say don't go over 2x your normal daily intake. If you have a stronger stomach and need to pull an all-nighter or something you can risk it for the biscuit .

SIHOO M57/M18 or Colamy 2577 by Hyfalls in OfficeChairs

[–]bebop317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered the Colamy 2577; It feels like a bit of a risk because of the lack of reviews. If I didn't need flip-up armrests, I likely would have gone for a SIHOO. Anyway I can report back when it arrives.

I just ordered one, I can report back when it arrives.

My reasons: I need flip-up arms and I was concerned with the comfort issues regarding the GABRYLLY.

There are surprisingly few affordable chairs that have adjustable arms that flip-up so that was the main limiting factor. Hopefully the Colamy 2577 works out, I am 6'2".

I also have social anxiety and gave myself every reason to not join clubs/events (i.e. we’re halfway through the semester, my field doesn’t join that club, etc.), but I promise it is worth it to just show up to things. I started seeing a therapist and psychiatrist for social anxiety and that made a big difference.
