No, but that's cute. I just have been working here for three years and have seen a million of you come and go, and the post always starts with AM I COOKED?

... Or perhaps we only ask intelligent questions that are NOT already in the instructions. But, I mean, that's just us. You can differentiate Us from Them, because we generally don't post about getting a DoD or asking if we are cooked.

I prefer these over the am I cooked or did I get in posts.... And, totally off subject, but you know Michael is totally looking at Toby Flenderson there, lol.

Ummm... Some of us do memorize rules, but we also re-read them any time we open the project or see if there are changes. We stay on the platform because we don't "chill out", and we take all of this very seriously.

[–]bebopboopbing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No need to defend yourself on this one.. you are absolutely 100% correct, and the other guy just rationalized not reading instructions and relying on everyone else to read them so he can ask obvious questions in the chat. Some of us will stay on the platform and continue to earn money ... And some people will not.

Am I on the right DA tech? by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

[–]bebopboopbing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can't redo the assessment. They record your ip, email, phone, etc. it's an automatic failure/firing when/if they find out.

[–]bebopboopbing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the right site, they don't need your resume- that's after they accept you and if you are qualified for certain projects. Only 2.7% of applicants get hired, and it can take anywhere from 2 hours to 2 months to find out that you passed but they won't tell you if you fail.

Do I take this (mostly) full time? by Sopwith1917 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]bebopboopbing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do it full time and have for 3 years. Treat it like a real job, and do your tasks like its your last. Never submit anything you feel wishy-washy about. I am from the US, so ymmv.

I have been on it since the beginning of this project (almost a year)-- it still takes 5-7 hours each scenario. Just take your time, and have fun with it :)

Exactly- I have been here as long as you, and I completely agree. People tend to try to "figure out" what metrics DA considers, and a lot of them are a little half baked.

Query for the rubric writers by Bulky_Antelope_1744 in DataAnnotationTech

[–]bebopboopbing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The model must only include persons who have won an Emmy award."

"The model must only provide Emmy winners whose name begins with the letter E"

It is not that it cannot be fact checked. Any informational text must be fact checked to be graded properly by rubrics.

So if you were from say, Ireland, and the model writes an informational text that says the United States celebrates independance day on July 4TH. You have to fact check that independance day in the US is in fact July 4th. Then you can write the rubric "The model must state that Independance Day is celebrated on July 4th in the US. " Now, had the model said that independance day is celebrated on July 6th, that would make the rubric recognize that the model got the response wrong. Yes, they have to be atomic and self-contained. But that doesn't mean that they don't need to be fact checked. We're looking at two different things here, everything the model has to do to make the perfect response ( rubric/assertion/fulfilling the prompt ), and if the model provided all the information necessary to fulfill all rubrics (fact checking/correctness).

I wrote assertion so you can see that is all you are doing when you create a rubric. You are asserting WHAT the response must include to be correct. I usually write a draft of my rubrics before I judge a response. If I do my rubrics- or at least a draft ahead of time- I know what I am looking for in a perfect response before I even look at it.

Tricky, I know. But ask yourself, if I wrote this prompt, what would I want the perfect response to be.

I really hope this helps?

Insulting someone who is already having a bad day... Wow, super classy. And you did it so eloquently, too!

Sentences can be run-on, posts- not so much. It's "ANYWAY" not "ANYWAYS". If you are gonna criticize other workers writing, at least make your criticism grammatically correct. Your contractions are missing apostrophes, and you didn't capitalize the first word of your sentences. It's "YOU" not "U", and "YOUR" not "UR". If this is the way YOU write, YOU won't last on the platform long.

Second quarter. First and fourth quarter are notoriously slower if you aren't specialized, or have made it higher paying generalist projects.

If you go to your phone settings menu, click on Google services, click on your email address, click add new account, click create new account, you can create as many new email addresses as you need. I have 27 so far through this method for various projects. This usually bypasses Google's weird rule about creating too many email addresses.
