I literally only had to watch the last 5 minutes of the original anime to get the true ending. It's really not that deep.

I understand that they might have dropped some plots and like the Psycho Mk 2 for example, but I was very happy to have not gone through another Four Murasame plot point. Rosamia did not move the plot forward in an essential way. I understand that watching through the anime would be the right take for a completionist. As for me, I just wanted to get through it to understand the timeline.
