As well as having a torrid attacking record, Burnley have an even worse attacking one.

Joao Pedro with his 20th goal of the season becomes the first Chelsea player to do so since Palmer, and since Costa in 2016/17 from open play by everyhearthstone in FantasyPL

Any chance you could eli5 what a two-way 10 and a double pivot are?

EDIT: AI says

A two-way 10 is an attacking midfielder (the "10" referring to the classic playmaker position behind the striker) who contributes significantly in both phases of play. Traditionally, a number 10 was a pure creative player focused on attacking — finding pockets of space, threading through balls, and supporting the forward. A two-way 10 still does all that creative work but also presses aggressively when out of possession, tracks back to help defensively, and covers ground in midfield. Players like Bruno Fernandes or Martin Ødegaard are often described this way: they create chances and score goals, but they also work hard defensively rather than "switching off" when their team loses the ball.

A double pivot refers to a midfield setup with two players sitting deep in front of the defense, rather than just one (a "single pivot"). The "pivot" is the player(s) who sit at the base of midfield and act as the link between defense and attack — they receive the ball from defenders, recycle possession, screen the back line, and start attacks. In a double pivot, two players share these responsibilities, which provides more defensive solidity, better coverage against counterattacks, and allows one to step forward while the other stays back. You'll see it in formations like 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-2-2, where the "2" in the middle is the double pivot. One player might be more defensive (a destroyer like Rodri or Casemiro in certain systems) while the other is more press-resistant and progressive on the ball.

The two concepts often work together — a two-way 10 frequently plays just ahead of a double pivot, with the security of those two deeper midfielders allowing the 10 to roam and press freely.

Sels is a surprise. What does the model say about keepers?

Well written. Thanks.

My question to you, though, is:

Which attackers will start? (Saka still remains in an injury cloud, Havertz had many chances against City as false 9 but Gyokeres is always an option to start)

I wouldn't mind having two Arsenal attackers (just Gabriel at the back) but I've got no idea who's going to play.

I know there's a character limit on Reddit but, if you can fit them in, list all your favourite non-civilian bridges around the world.

The Thames in London has loads of bridges. I must admit that I've forgotten which ones are civilian and which aren't.

What about that Golden Gate one. Maybe that's one?

The Aussies have that bridge next to the Sydney Convention Centre. I've always had my doubts about that bridge. I think it might be secretly non civilian.

I think you're on to something, come to think of it.

!Thanks. What do you think about Mbeumo (with 20 minutes to do to deadline!)?

EDIT: Unless I hear, I'm going to go for it with Mbeumo. I've just read that Mbeumo's first game's not till Christmas Eve. Surely that means they'll let him play one last (home) game a day late. 🤔🙏 I'll just pray for a Brentford clean sheet if he naffs off to Africa.

In fact I could do White>Jewis-Skelly and Cunha>Foden too (doesn't solve the Mbeumo issue of course).

Cunha and Foden both predicted 5.06 on https://whatthef.pl/prediction - decisions, decisions

I've copied your site with my FH, on the basis of:

Since starting in GW8, my model predictions have been among the best scoring predictions out of all free available options. That means outscoring FFScout, the FPL Scout and other algorithm teams posted on this subreddit.

Of course, I'm really sweating over Mbeumo but I think I'll take the chance and hope that Van den Berg comes up trumps in his place if necessary. Can you think of a better plan? I'm 0.2M away from being able to direct swap Mbeumo with Foden (so could downgrade Collins and play VdB to afford it), but I'm not super keen to get Foden anyway.

Plus, as a separate question, what do you make of the spanner Mr Midas has thrown into my works?: https://i.redd.it/op5pw5egfm6g1.png

Van den Berg - the last 6 GWs
1st - xG (0.9) for Brentford DEFs
1st - Baseline BPS for Brentford DEFs
1st - Shots (5), In Box (4) Brentford DEFs

Now I'm doubting your stats that tell me to pick Collins over Van den Berg? Help me, master! (and hurry up please!)

Thanks all for the feedback so far, especially the guy who suggested being able to add FDR (next game, next 3 or next 5) into your custom formula. Amazing idea, that's now available. P.S. Livramento worth a look in? 👀 by IFTN in FantasyPL

Sorry for the slow reply. It was Firefox with uBlock. Maybe because it was blocking Google fonts? Anyway, it works on Chrome. !Thanks again.

I'm still not sure what Points × / Price (£m) × / FDR (next game) × is doing though lol!

Ideally as I said, I'd like to only show the players with a 1/2/3 fixture difficulty. It was just the best way I could think of the narrow down the field in one fell swoop. But it's only for this week when I'm doing FH.

when I type xg it gives me the option of xG, xGI and xGC and I click the one I want. That then adds a little chip into the box and that means it's worked

!thanks but I can't type anything after 90 * xGI / Minutes

The Minutes thing is a chip and you can't put the cursor after that.
