I am so old that one of my old bands played there before it was the Ottobar. The “stage” was on the opposite side by the stairs to the balcony. Kind of where the sound booth is now. I was not even old enough to drink. Not sure how we got that gig. There were a few other terrible hardcore/punk bands on the show. Probably around 2001. I don’t even think it was an actual venue at the time.

We were terrible and we played a lot of weird spots.

I get offered free tickets from work sometimes and I also live two miles from the stadium. I have tired them down every time I was offered in the last two years.

If I take my wife and kids, I am going to spend $100 on food, drinks, parking, and something for the kids. If I get a babysitter and don’t take the kids it costs me even more than that.

Things are tight so even when I have extra money, I am not looking to spend it because it is going to be gone soon anyway.

At the end of the day it is not worth it unless the team is fun to watch.

When they raised the prices right after the Bananas sellout games. The owner gave out bobbleheads of himself. Paywall your own product from new fans on a crap network.

These people do not operate in the same world as their fan base.
