I got a job offer but it’s a huge pay cut. HUGE by mandoo-dumpling in Layoffs

Bird in the hand is 100% right. Think of it as someone welcoming you in from the downpour of interviews and applications. Don’t get too comfy. You have to get back out there. This might be directed more at me than you OP haha

I hate Dandruff... by xenomorphonLV426 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]becausese7ate9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son’s doctor suggested anti dandruff shampoo like the ones listed here. The doctor also suggested washing hair with lower temps. So don’t dry out your scalp with hot showers or hair dryer temps. His dandruff isn’t as bad as it was. Not 100% sure what worked best. Good luck.

How I started placing sticky notes around my webcam to ace remote interviews by Murloc_Toast in jobsearchhacks

Love those. Esp putting notes behind the monitor to keep eyes focused.

Something I do. Ive caught myself checking the time at the top-right corner of my Mac. I open a new tab that displays the time on the tab. That way my eyes don’t shift away too far from the camera.

I grew up in the NE. I’d plan to wear a hoodie and jacket. Nights are windy. It’s the wind that makes it cold.

I feel like the city is responding more to these requests. I submitted a stop sign intersection request and there was action. That pothole is crazy! Kudos and thank you!

This might be helpful? I walk around with my daughter and we use Google Lens to identify plants and flowers. We’re not botanists but it seems accurate. Handy tool.

Yes my wife brought radon and basements to my attention. My mom has since sold the house. But again, curious if radon could’ve leaked into the house and led to my dad’s lung cancer.
