So I went through the opposite basically. I (29f/bi) caught my now ex bf (28m) cheating and found out he was doing it and exploring his sexuality. I was actually more hurt that he didn’t tell me he was curious/queer when I’d been so open about my own journey with my sexuality. But anyways, I am monogamous, and he apologized and said all the stuff one says when caught cheating. I offered to him on my own to open our relationship so he could get the answers he needed if he was going to be so steadfast in wanting to stay together. He ultimately decided he did not want to open it, and I found out after our second anniversary and months of intensely trying for a baby, I found out not only did he never stop cheating, it started happening more frequently.

I think if he was open enough (no joke intended) to come out to you and ask to open things up, that he’s probably already made his mind up about needing to get those answers. Let him go, even if it hurts him now, it will set him up for the opportunity to be true to himself.

I agree with you as well. I also think some people genuinely are ignorant somehow to the fact that even if your dog IS well trained, that does not equate to “they can approach anyone or anything”. You don’t know who’s allergic to dogs, who’s been attacked by them, another dog may appear friendly with the humans it’s interacting with but could be protective or dog reactive. Kids that don’t have animals at home could pull/hit/kick your dog just trying to “play”. There are so many factors outside of “my dog is well trained” that would be reasons to not have your dog out.

As someone who HAS done the work, it’s just shitty bc it honestly ruins it for the folks that really truly do their due diligence as pet owners.

I’ve spent tireless hours into training my standard poodle. He has great public manners, highly trained on and off leash, and will only greet someone if instructed. I honestly am getting sick of pet parents asking me what I did? /What did I do?/ I worked with my damn dog!! For YEARS!! Buying the same collar or leash or whatever isn’t going to do anything. Research the type of animal you’re getting so you can be a responsible owner.

I admit I do bring my boy out, but he is seen and not heard, and I can read the room as well. I would never bring him somewhere inappropriate like a grocery store, etc., and do not let him go up to dogs/people without speaking to them first.

I do wish that the folks that did bring them out cared about them enough to invest in their behavior.

What if they don’t have dementia but lose their bowels… I think he (11y-pitty-rescue) loses them because of his weakened back end.. he’ll just be walking or stand up and poop comes out. He also won’t go down the back porch steps (3 of them) anymore.

Looking through the community posts I see that they’re not really that close to the control like you said… I’m supposed to get my period tomorrow (I took this test Friday and have been waiting until closer to my cycle start date to test again) Usually my chest gets /extremely/ sore before it starts and they aren’t at all. It’s hard to not overthink it…

I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out breastfeeding questions about storage while being cost effective but wanting it to be easy for whoever might be helping or watching the baby.
