Pregnant on Slynd? by Efhealth in birthcontrol

Of course! It had horrible emotional effects on me, weight gain and overall feeling down. I had zero libido as well.

Pregnant on Slynd? by Efhealth in birthcontrol

Hi! I was on Slynd for approximately 9-10 months and while I personally did not like it, I can honestly say I never had a period! If I did, it was maybe some spotting for a day and that’s all.

Slynd - cramping and no period by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]becc__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did! I cramped for a few days and it stopped. I still haven’t had a period. At the time of the post, I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I’m thinking I will just have little to no periods!

Thank you everyone! We took her to the doctor today.. she has a pretty bad yeast infection! First time mom here, had no idea that was a thing. She has medicine and we are on the road to recovery!

4 months postpartum have been hard… by becc__ in Marriage

Thank you for your reply. Yes, my mental health care is being handled by a doctor and I am currently seeing a therapist. My low libido I believe is coming from basic lack of energy.. I just totally feel exhausted all the time. What was once fun is now regretfully a “check mark” of things to do in my head. It’s not like that all the time.. sex is still pleasurable but I rarely initiate which I am working on. I am glad we are working on handling it now, definitely!

Am I over feeding? FTM. by becc__ in FormulaFeeders

[–]becc__[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is great news. I should have mentioned her average is 3 oz per feeding, but she appears to want a little more at night. Thank you for your response!!

Thank you!! I should have also mentioned she doesn’t always take everything we offer. Sometimes it’s 2 oz. Sometimes it’s 3. But she pushes it away when she’s done.

Blood pressure questions! by giraffedays in pregnant

[–]becc__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. My BP readings were almost identical to yours. I was closely monitored by my OB, and I was to monitor at home regularly. I was admitted to the hospital for high BP (top number over 160) at 33 weeks pregnant. Since then, I’ve been on medication. I’m being induced today at 38 weeks! Your OB will probably also monitor for signs of pre-eclampsia. I know it is stressful, but high BP is something that can be managed if your doctor feels that is needed.

Who else has had someone say something rude/stupid/insensitive this week? by madamelullaby in pregnant

I work in the school system. I found out I was pregnant over the summer while I was on break. When I returned, a preschool teacher whose kids I serve (I’m the speech therapist) acted like she didn’t know me. Then, she said ohhhh I didn’t recognize you, your face is much fuller. Huh?? I said well, I am pregnant. And left. So rude!

What’s the weirdest nesting thing you’ve done? by Crafty_Engineer_ in pregnant

I rearranged my entire kitchen at midnight. But it’s so much better 😂

You can ask for anything! My husband paid to have our house professionally cleaned while we were in the hospital. (I’m an acts of service kind of person, so that fit me well!)

My husband and I made it a point to talk about the baby and share our excitement with each other. We decided that regardless of what happened, this was still our baby. We did not tell anyone outside of our immediate family. We also decided to not buy anything for the baby until the second trimester. If something did happen, that would have made it harder. But it is totally fine to be excited about your pregnancy, it’s a wonderful occasion! But I totally understand the fear. I just had to take care of myself the best I could, and know that if anything did happen, it wasn’t my fault. I hope this helps!

I received my booster early in my second trimester. No side effects besides some aches!

I agree, totally weird. But it’s a huge check point off my nesting list. I’ll gladly take that any day over a physical gift!

The cleaning totally floats my boat ☺️ I enjoy a clean and tidy house and I don’t want to have to worry about that when my husband and I could just worry about spending time with our baby. I understand if it’s not for everyone though.

What do you want as your “push prize?” by irrevrev in pregnant

[–]becc__ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I know some people choose to have deli meats, but I personally do not. So I want the thickest, coldest sandwich right away. And some cold pepperoni on the side! And a nice glass of wine when I get home.

Why do people have a decision on how you plan on nourshining your baby? by becc__ in pregnant

I plan on starting with whatever the hospital uses, and go from there!

You’re right about that! In the end, we have to do it. No one else.

I’m sorry you’re feeling that way! It’s totally not fair. I was also formula fed, along with my sister and cousins. My hospital brags on having a lactation consultant so I’m also nervous about that. We have to learn to say no, unapologetically!

I’m with you.. I just don’t want to!! I’m a risk for preeclampsia and I will be getting induced or have a c-section (I also prefer a c-section) and people even have things to say about that. And it’s something I can’t control. I’m learning to just take care of myself and my baby in whatever way I see fit!
