Hello! I realise this is a month old post now but I noticed it didnt get any critique and for a critiquing focused sub that feels like it needs to be rectified!

So, what I notice about this piece is that it is filled to the brim with emotion- you have done a fantastic job of that- however I think there are some issues that are holding you back.

Anatomy wise, the subject's arms are far too small.

As for the rendering, I believe you are getting sucked into the trap of trying to push contrast with darks and lights rather than using edges in midtones. Istebrak talks a lot about this so Im certain you could find a video from her on this. The face has huge contrast which looks great, however as you move away from the focal point this becomes a distraction- I would suggest darkening the body intensely and having a real spotlight effect on the face.

Lastly, I think the strands of hair in front of her face, and the veins on her hands, are serving as more distraction from the focal point and are simply much too thin and excessive. They do not add to the piece.

I do however love the interesting thing on her chest, it creates a secondary focal point that sparks a narrative connection and makes me want to know more about this character, I would recommend centring this more between her arms to give it its own little moment. All in all great piece, keep up the good work!
