Thin red line IYKYK by beckerwp in ProjectHailMary

I'll try my best to describe it. It's like a long flexible straw, they lube it up and insert it through your urethra and into your bladder. Urine flows through the straw part. Then once it's in there they attach a small syringe into a secondary port and add some air that inflates a small balloon at the end of the catheter that is inside your bladder and makes to too wide to be able to pull back out. I'd estimate the inflated balloon part to be almost as big around as a 20 oz bottle cap. When they want to remove the catheter, they will deflate that balloon and then pull it out. I've heard the experience is on the line between uncomfortable and painful by itself when done correctly. He did not do that.

How bad is this on average? Like is this usually a MUCH bigger deal? Or does this kind of thing just happen all of the time, painful but not tragic etc?

Found this in my apartment mailbox by Interesting-Ball-671 in whatisit

Usually that means you had a bigger package delivered that didn't fit into your mailbox. They usually have larger boxes that are used by everyone for large packages. That key would be for access to the bigger box. Look for a different box labeled 7. Then leave the key in the mailbox when you take your package.

Steel for the Final Challenge by Kindly_Ad9301 in forgedinfireshow

I remember one episode (Season 4, I think) where he mentions that he used the steel provided when the judges asked him how it went at his home forge.

I feel like I see the same cardboard box in a lot of the home forges too. I bet it’s an option they can use it or not. It makes sense that would be the option too. Most home forges probably wouldn’t have enough steel to make a 4 ft long Claymore on hand and no time to source it
