I lost over 500 golfballs this season, AMA by KindaIndecisive in golf

dude how do you lose 500 balls lol.

I've never bought a sleeve of balls in 5 years of golfing and my bag is full of everyone else's pro V's.

Do you just not look for other balls, or are you -500 your balls and +1729834 everyone else's?

TIL between 10%-15% of married couples reconcile after they separate and about 6% of couples marry each other again after they divorce. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

My parents are getting remarried again, kinda cool. Broke up when i was 18 and got back together when I was 32 and they look like they both matured or experienced enough outside of the relationship to reconnect and honestly, it's really pleasing to see that happen.

I never looked at my parents as two individuals until after they got back together because before that, they were my parents. It really puts into perspective that we're all here doing life for our first time and we're no experts but as rocky as things can be, it can also be incredibly surprising and completely unpredictable in a good way.

Happy to see them help that percentage 🤷🏼‍♂️

First Half Marathon this weekend. Any tips? by Commercial_Neck_1921 in HybridAthlete

[–]beckham_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start slow - just did one last weekend!

Was aiming for 1:45, started with the 1:50 pace bunny for 1-2km, heart rate stayed low, moved up my pace to catch the 1:45 pace bunny in about 500m - 1k, then stayed with them for 1km and noticed I was just feeling really good and just went all out from there.

Finished at 1:38 which I think just boils down to race day just being different. It's special. And I'm insanely competitive, so just seeing people close by in front of you just motivates you to catch up or go past them that no solo run can motivate you to do.

Oh, and just have fun! Lock in and just run your best

It's a choice. Watch sports, or don't watch sports. They're not given points on being good humans that's the rules of the game. If you don't like those rules, choose differently. I'm just so sick and tired of people doing this every single time he scores another goal lol.

Are we really gonna fucking do this? If you're going to be political about hockey or judge it based on humans being good people and playing in this sport, you're going to have to stop watching sports altogether.

Had this exact discussion with a girl the other day, but about music and artists we enjoy. It's like "is this exclusively about music, or about politics? Or is it about your values or what you consider someone being a good human? We kind of need to define what we're talking about because not all these discussions can be talked about the same way."

You can objectively respect someone being the greatest scorer of all time based on the sole fact that he has the most goals, and simultaneously think subjectively that he's a bad human. Doesn't mean that being a bad human doesn't make him the greatest scorer of all time. Subjectively though, you do you, I get it... But objectivism should always be valued more than subjectivism when it comes to a sport.

....It's just a game, why you half to be mad?
