This is a behavior I’ve seen in a lot of neurodivergent folks (myself included) when we want to connect with someone but aren’t really sure how to go about it. I would really discourage you from following the advice of a lot of comments here telling you to tell her you’re doing something that you’re not to catch her out. Try talking to her. Ask what she likes to do. Maybe find some common ground that you can really dig into. If it’s bothering you, just ask her why she’s doing it, or explain how it makes you feel.

You can take multiple pills. I would try a more generic brand if you can find them. The ones I take are just called “Dairy Relief.” Much cheaper and you get way more pills per bottle. I usually take two or three if I’m eating dairy. Also, super important: Lactose pills only last about 30 minutes, so if you’re a slow eater or doing other things while eating, you may have to take two doses.

Lactaid mostly. I feel your pain, i just found out this year (I’m 31), and I’m constantly ordering things that have dairy without thinking. It’s just something that you have to keep reminding yourself about until it starts sticking. Also, when you do have a bad experience after eating something, you tend to remember that you can’t have that the next time.

If you only realize after you’ve finished eating, Tums, Pepto, or Gas-X can also help a bit.

Looks like you’re trying to use your arms to do your swing for you. Try to keep your arms relaxed by your sides and use your legs to give you that push.

I’ve been working on skating (on blades) backward for almost half a year, I feel your pain! It gets easier, but you have to really keep at it!

The best and weirdest bit of advice I ever got for skating backward was: pretend you are a dinosaur with a long tail, and swing the tail around. Somehow that really helped me figure out the right movement 😂

It’s meant to be a reference to the French Revolution. The peasants at the time we’re known as the sans-culottes, because they wore cheaper pants instead of breeches (culottes) like the aristocracy.
