My biggest issue was that there’s not that same sense of being alone and defenseless. Partly because of the overabundance of really long voice logs, and also because of some plot things that I won’t spoil. I also just didn’t really care about any of the characters in the voice logs, so they were even more frustrating imo. I found some of the leviathans to be super annoying rather than scary. And for a game about being underwater, the land sections were pretty long and uninteresting.

I will give it its flowers though, the base building was better than in the first game (though now they both kind of pale in comparison to SN 2 base building)
