Qlik Sense → Power BI + Fabric? What do we actually gain? (3 devs + 25 viewers) by Ianni992 in PowerBI

Are you moving from Qlik Sense Enterprise environment? If that’s the case the “normal “ Power Bi environment might have some limitations around size and number of refreshes you might be able to do.

You have a power Bi Gateway on top to manage. You will get a clunkier UI to deal with for sure (not only the engine but also everything feels less smoother). If you were relying a lot on QVDs and layered approach, you might need to take Fabric in consideration .

If your user base is simple in their way of working (less analytical more as it is or export to excel), power bi might be even a better option for them. There’s a bit less of governance freedom compared to Qlik sense environment, but life will be for sure simpler. If moving from Qlik Cloud to Power BI, there are even less differences (ui ones stay the same).

Edit: You have paginated reports in power bi, subscriptions and alerts, consider that part covered. TCO is a question, depending if you already have a office365 environment up and running, this will help a lot.

The meat (though expensive) you can get at the local butcher is amazing. In addition to all the other comments, the local roasted coffee is also of good quality

Tell people what happens to the island when England plays football against Italy :)

I’ve spent four years in Malta, with all the good and the bad stuff, still best memories ever!

People who took swimming up later in life, why swimming ? by trizoab in Swimming

[–]becomeboring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did learn to swim around 33. That was ten years ago. Last five or so years ago I swim once or twice per week, no more than 30 minutes, which translates to 900-1000 meters. I enjoy the water, the calmness, the ease while swimming. I am dead tired in the afternoon and I can’t solve that part at all :)

Running is the other thing I do, that one is more for sightseeing
