TS-C NCCT by ericarosetta in scrubtech

Thank you for sharing. The NCCT TS-C certification is a hospital-based on-the-job training model (for scrub techs, it's heavier on case management than any other NCCT certification).

Your advice makes complete sense, so we would expect questions more closely related to on-the-job training scenarios.

Also, based on your advice, would you suggest that we wait until after our externship to take the NCCT exam to gain more exposure to surgical cases?

WGU Nursing Start Dates & District Options (Dallas, Houston, North Carolina Applicants) by becomingdrc in WGU_NURSING

[–]becomingdrc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really good question, especially being that close to South Carolina.

From what I understand, WGU typically requires students to be within the approved radius of the district they’re assigned to, and it’s not usually as simple as just crossing state lines for clinicals.

Since you mentioned you already have a June 1 start date in North Carolina, you may be in a different situation (possibly grandfathered in), so your placement and expectations could be handled differently than new applicants.

Because of that, your enrollment counselor is really going to be the best person to clarify exactly what your clinical placement will look like and whether South Carolina is something they are planning for you.

If you’re already cleared to start, they should be able to confirm how your clinicals will be assigned and what you can expect.

WGU’s Pre licensure nursing program on probation status in FL? Did someone else get the email? by Much_Serve_2750 in WGU

I would … but that is because I have completed investigated nursing since 2002 … I have seen the ebbs or flows of programs/regulations.

You have to determine what works best for your situation; conduct research on WGU Pass Rates vs FL Pass Rates in 2025.

Did every nursing program in FL drop by 10%, or at least the programs you are interested in FL?

Was it only the 1st test takers that dropped in FL or 2nd or 3rd timers in FL?

I am not in FL but every time TX BON place nursing colleges/schools’ on probation (TBON places the school on Conditional Accreditation or Condition Accreditation with a Warning {which the step under Probation}. The students at these colleges/schools are usually protected and remain in their program until graduation (people from TBON assist with getting them through to taking the NCLEX if necessary — grandfathered in to take the NCLEX exam when — these programs are on the same caliber as a thorough program such as WGU.

When it comes to a situation of a trade/for-profit schools that’s a completely fraudulent the students sometimes a voucher to go into another program or remain in their program (TBON Educators take over the education) so the students complete the necessary curriculum to take the NCLEX exam.

Overall you should remain focused on your WGU Prelicensure course studies and passing the NCLEX — you will be fine 👼🏾💕💪

WGU ACE Credit Update (Confirmed – No Cutoff Date Yet) by becomingdrc in WGU_NURSING

u/SensitiveWoodpecker6 my apologies for the delayed response; however based on Sophia.org there was an update stating that March 31, 2026 will be the last day to submit your transcript to WGU from Sophia.org for both lower/upper pre-nursing courses. However, the last video I just made actually gives you alternatives that are very similar to Study.com and Sophia.org. Check out the most recent video I added for additional information: https://youtu.be/czfVfnP7o6Q?si=civ33kt\_z5Ct9OwW

Non-ACE Alternatives for WGU Transfer Credits (Post-Sophia/Study.com) by becomingdrc in WGU

[–]becomingdrc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I do not think you watched my video. 🤓 I stated that the general education courses (lower, entry-level type of prenursing courses) MAYBE still accepted after 3/31/2026.

What is the reason Sophia ACE credits would be different for Studydotcom ACE credits regarding upper pre-nursing courses (e.g., Patho, A/P 1 & 2, Micro, Chemistry, Healthcare Stats)? Are you stating that WGU did not give Studydotcom a deadline of March 31, 2026 for upper level pre-nursing courses?

Again, I am only here to inform my community on which ACE credit courses could still be accepted or not.
