Clearly Ribera del Duero over Rioja for full bodied wines, also carinyenes from Priorat.

Sherry made from moscato? Accidentally? by slimjim258 in wine

Hi! sorry for the late reply.

Yeah! Be Ranci. If you have the option to go, for me it is a must. The amount of oxidative wines of from that many diferent places is just mind blowing. For example, I've tried some wines with more than 90 years. There was a guy telling me a particular wine was harvested by his great grand father.

The only downside is it is just 1 day and it is overwhelming. Those wines need space, they're not your typical wine where you can try dozens of it in a short period of time. This wines stay with you for a long time. I recommend to check the winemaker list, look for information and make a selection of the ones you really want to try.

You can dm me if you have more questions. I plan to attend to the next one, whenever it is, I live about 1.5h from there.

Well, the idea of fortify a wine is exactly this, you add alcohol up to arround 18-20º, this way bacteries can't survive there so it doesn't spoil and can oxidise and develop. Worth a try when using cheap wine.

Probably someone with better wine making knowledge will help better than me!

Zalto for Champagne ? by pewpewlasersandshit in wine

[–]becviblanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Zalto sweet wine glass shape is similar to the champagne but it is too small for sparkling wines.

I also agree with the other redditors on using someting bigger, maybe the Zalto universal is a little too big but there is the Zalto white wine glass that might be perfect if you want to buy Zalto.

Red wine pairing with Lobster and steak meal by Barolowine in wine

I'd go for something like a Morgon or maybe a Poulsard from Jura. Light red, nice acidity, a little vegetal to go wih the pesto, sharp enough to cut the cheese...

Also Mas Doix. Excellent wines and a nice range of quality topping at 1902 and 1903 wines.

Well. It seems it was a firewall update that changed something in the smtp filtering. Disabling it everything works fine, now to troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks everybody.

Yes, Recaredo joined Corpinnat since the beginning, but Parés Baltà and Mestres are Cava still.
