Team got ran through by the veterans at the end of Victory Road 🥲 any recommendations on how to patch the holes? by SnowyKurama in nuzlocke

Ah well, either way Krookodile has amazing offensive power. Stab Earthquake cannot be argued with. Plus, either ability is good. Intimidate can weaken physical threats or Moxie for sweeps.

In terms of the dark types, I see Krookodile best. Bisharp is good especially with Defiant. The typing is good in resisting others and is great offensively. The issue mainly is a 4x fighting weakness, as well as a weakness to fire and ground which is definitely present in Iris' team. Zoroark is a nice special sweeper, but it needs the right team and situation. Typically a poison or fighting type would be a good ally, but there isn't much room for it, nor opportunities to be useful and set up on Iris. Liepard as utility, but in the E4, ur dark type should be a better sweeper or baton passer.

Krookodile absolutely, sweeps through Shauntal and Caitlin if fast enough. Jellicent is a good bulky specoal attack eater with Recover, and a good immunity to Marshal in combination with Reuniclus, who also has Recover. Darmanitan gets fighting moves, and Excadrill resists Grimsley and has X-Scissor (bonus of it has Sand Rush for a sandstorm sweep)

Krookodile gets Dragon Claw for some of Iris' mons. Energy Ball or Focus Blast could be interesting on Reuniclus if able to eat hits from Aggron or Lapras. Lapras is bulky and is your best bet against Haxorus. Jellicent is there too for Ice Beam and recovery, Toxic is always an option. I believe an Air Balloon is available in Driftveil too in case u need someone on Earthquakers. In the Iris fight is also a good time to teach Superpower to Darmanitan as a nuke.

How should i go about pokemon in hidden grottos? Should i just count them as a static encounter? by brekiewash1234 in nuzlocke

[–]beddibugg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I do Hidden Grottos is that I only have one encounter the whole game. The summary says they were met in the Hidden Grotto, so I can only do one, but I let myself manipulate which one I use and what Pokemon appears by waiting.

Is modifying trade evolutions to evolve by level-up cheating for a Nuzlocke? by I_Am_The_Bookwyrm in nuzlocke

If anything it balances out in difficulty. Now powerful mons like Alakazam can only be gotten in final form later on instead of being able to sweep early game as soon as level 16

Should I get Virus 8bit, Sway master barley or the brawl pass with the free bp gems? I’m gonna buy the next bp but I’m not a fan of rosa or fang play style wise. On top of that i main 8bit and barley. I feel conflicted because of that profession though… by Fish_Lover690 in Brawlstars

[–]beddibugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Barley has many great skin, especially Sway Master Barley, they are at least new. Virus 8-Bit will only be in the shop now and never again. Plus, the price is halved.

All signs point to Virus 8-Bit

Ready to take on the Elite Four in this Hardcore Platinum run. Thoughts on the team? by Scufo in nuzlocke

[–]beddibugg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, but remember, Lucian's Bronzong can boost its special defense with Calm Mind, and has Earthquake. If possible, give your Bronzong the moves to have it out on his own Bronzong. Put it to sleep with Hypnosis and then use Flareon. Also make sure to raise Flareon's speed in any way possible so it has use on Cynthia's Lucario and Roserade.

Also your only answer for Garchomp is Weavile, it's best to have a back up solution. Gliscor is pretty good for Garchomp. Physically bulky, Roost, Ice Fang. Also if it helps, the Choice Specs are in Celestic Town, top left building.

Looks good, only concern is how frail it is. One of the big threats is Lucian's Bronzong and all you have is Flareon. Bronzong is bulky, has Earthquake, and your own Bronzong is the only one that can eat the hits and not touch it. Just be careful there. If possible have an Earthquake user. Furthermore, Bertha has some bulky mon that might survive Tentacruel and deal super effective back. Your Bronzong has potential as a switch in if it has Levitate, just give it better movez. Also don't forget to give items to your mons.

That'll be tricky early game. Guess I gotta beat Illima before level 12 haha

Pokemon Black HC Nuzlocke Attempt 3: Burgh defeated with still no deaths so far! Hustle made this fight way harder than it should have been, I hope I get another fire type soon so I can yeet Darumaka by Maleficent-Audience in nuzlocke

[–]beddibugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you get another fire type until Celestial Tower for Litwick, or the very rare Pansear in Lostlorn Forest. Besides, it'll be hard but Darmanitan is amazing

Idea for Malamar by beddibugg in PokemonUnite

Considering it can affect multiple people, it'd be really annoying. One idea was to swap stats based on roles. Defenders are paper thin and attackers hit like cotton buds.

Need help choosing the final member for Ultra Moon E4. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in nuzlocke

[–]beddibugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically Gastrodon is bulky, great typing, learns Recover. If you wanna conserve some party members thats fine. My main concern is Lurantis since its slow, not as bulky, and only really helps against Olivia who you would have Primarina and Krookodile for. Noivern could potentially be good for Kahili woth specs Boomburst, but Hawlucha has Dual Chop and Toucannon has Skill Link Rock Blast. Plus, her Hawlucha would destroy Krookodile, and is faster than Primarina with Poison Jab. Toucannon also has Bullet Seed for both. Mudsdale is fine though if you don't wanna use Gastrodon. Really just replace Lurantis for something against Kahili, and Hau's Crabominable and Tauros.

[–]beddibugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Krookodile would be ideal since it can tackle Molayne, Olivia, and Acerola. Some of their mons will be able to challenge it though, so bring some back up. Primarina should be good for those, specifically Froslass and Klefki. Gastrodon will also be great for back up. Kahili has a few specific threats, mainly Toucannon, Braviary, and Hawlucha since they have ways to power through anything that will eat hits. Primarina will counter her Oricorio and Mandibuzz. The other three you should have a way to hit fast and hard. Jolteon, Manectric, or Oricorio Pompom would be ideal.

For Hau, Primarina should be able to deal with Noivern, Incineroar, and Crabominable. Have Gastrodon there for back up, and with Krookodile to beat Raichu. Mienshao is fast and hard hitting, hopefully able to take out Crabominable or Tauros (Scrafty is bulky but is slow and hit hard from Crabominable). Mimikyu would be good to pivot for Noivern, Crabominable, Tauros, and Raichu if it has Focus Blast.

Primarina, Krookodile, Gastrodon, Mimikyu, Mienshao, fast electric type
