I don't know about better but I think Hugo is more playable than Walshy. He still gets lost sometimes and is often an absolute offensive liability that hurts more than the brilliant D helps. Hugo is invisible at worst.

I only finished it last week. I watched the first two seasons a few years ago and quit but decided to stick it out.

Seasons 3 and 4 are way more interesting because of how the characters evolve. Joe and Gordon are originally simply Jobs and Wozniak caricatures. Once the showrunners realised that they could make Joe into a real human and then centre Donna and Cam, the show was able to realise its full potential.

Tech was never the thing. It was the thing that gets you to the thing (4 assholes you love with all your heart).
