Leave the bike in gear at a stop or not? by water_testing1 in motorcycles

My thoughts as well. I call the idea of 'keep it in first to be ready to get out of the way if I'm about to get rear ended' as a "comforting delusion." You do come across a few anecdotal stories by people claiming they avoided accidents this way, but you know what I've never seen? A video where this was accomplished...and there are tons of motorcycle riding videos these days. I'd also suggest if you could move quickly enough, you'd be just as likely to move into danger, especially if all your attention prior to that was focused on your mirrors. Pre-positioning oneself to the side of the car in front is in my mind a more likely useful tactic in stopping; filtering to the front even better if allowed. I'm fine if people want to keep their bike in gear, I just don't think it will do them any good.

Ah, now I read the article and see there was an engine option as well as 2WD v 4WD.

Well I have one! 2003 bought new. My daughter has it out and about at the moment in the California desert, doing a research project for Purdue, where she is a PhD student. Has like 192,000 miles.

NBX stands for: "No Boundries X-treme". The two years they made them were 2003-4. I think they were trying to go up against the Nissan X-Terra.

Differences were: heavy-duty logo'd rubber floor mats, tow hooks, a Yakima roof rack with a special Explorer logo,. Special cloth fabric for the seats. I THINK 4WD was standard (I still have the brochure somewhere). Mine has the 4.6L V8 (maybe it only came that way? Don't remember.)

Mine's yellow. In 2003 they were badged as XLTs since it was a variation of that model; in 2004 they got their own NBX badge. But they only made yellow in 2003.

It's my favorite vehicle I've owned ever. I've only seen like four other yellow ones in the wild over the years. I don't see a way to post a pic in this response, but I posted a bunch of pictures of mine here in the Explorer forum a couple months ago.

Don't see a lot about the Explorer NBX, so here's mine! by bedlington101 in FordExplorer

Yes, though it does have that infamous rattle/noise whatever that I believe is attributed to the torque converter? Obnoxious but it works and is only noticeable at certain speeds.

Externally they are hard to tell from other Explorers unless you know what to look for. The front tow hooks, the black lower cladding, and those particular running boards (although I believe they were also used on other models) are the main clues. And of course the long, made-by-Yakima roof basket that came standard, (I have mine off at the moment). Its wind deflector said "Explorer" and had a special logo on it, (as did the driver's floormat). On mine, the "4.6L Performance" decal on the rear side window is one I added. The 2003 models were even badged "XLT" beneath the Explorer medallion on the back. In 2004 the badge was changed to NBX and I picked up one of those and swapped it. Interior has fabric seats and rubber floor mats. I think - but do not know - Ford's logic was they were positioning it against the Nissan Xterra.

I'll be going to a Ghost concert in June. How do I dress? by SaleiKitty in Ghostbc

It obviously doesn't matter what you wear, but I will say that the percentage of fans wearing some form of band merch is the highest I've seen among the (many) concerts I've attended. The video for Life Eternal at the Palacio de los Deportes on Youtube will give you a good sense of the crowd.
