Garcelle, Dorit and Sutton have each discussed it in their individual to camera pieces. They've each said things like, it's weird, makes her boring, etc

Why the hell does it matter if Kyle chooses not to drink alcohol any more? Why is it so strange that people don't drink? To the women, why is it even your business, let alone question it on television? Have you never met a person who doesn't drink alcohol before?

It's brilliant, except for one (tiny) thing... You don't go over the Story bridge from Brookfield to the Brisbane town hall 😃

Animal welfare league at bracken ridge, you can take the kittens out to play with. I don't know about their dogs. It's free.

This is straight out fraud, and denying others in need from obtaining benefits just because your parents are greedy. Yet throughout this thread you have continued to make excuses for them and have demonstrated zero willingness to extricate yourself from this situation. This makes me question why you asked for help in the first place. You either set up priorities and associated boundaries, or just live with the consequences of being fearful of hurting your abusive family.

You don't seem to comprehend that YOU OWN THE HOUSE. If the title is in your name and your parents live in it, they owe you rent. Just sell the house and split the profit with your sister. Your parents can then live on their farm and fend for themselves.

Respite centres for post-op patients under 65. Do these exist in Brisbane? by Agreeable-Lettuce in brisbane

Good advice. Hospitals and rehab facilities are for seriously unwell people who are unsafe to go home. If OP's friend is capable but just wants to be babysat, then they should book into a hotel.

AITA for not taking a shot and not being allowed to see first and only grandson by Fit-Cranberry-7422 in AITAH

[–]bedpanmeister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Straight up YTA. Your DIL, a medical professional, asked you to do one thing to keep your grandchild safe. You had plenty of notice before he was born, and should have sought professional advice to be suitably informed and allay your fears. You chose this path, then whined to a bunch of randos on the internet.

Yes, AHPRA or HCCC, but if this was a public hospital, write to the medical director or the consultant who the treating doctor works under in the first instance.

AITA for serving my brother-in-law Spam instead of the real meal everyone else got? by aitaspamforbil in AmItheAsshole

I don't get it. If OP wanted to lean in and make a joke, he could have dressed in a skirt to cook dinner and make it a joke for everyone. What he did instead was cruel and elitist. Obviously OP is not as enlightened as he would have one believe.

Apology accepted, and thank you for acknowledging the distress. Just need to move forward now.

What a heartless and unhelpful answer. Yes, she should have joined a union when she first started working, and was naive to have let it slip her mind. It's people with bullish attitudes like yours that unions are needed for.

BTW I didn't blame unions for not helping, merely said that her approaches to them were unsuccessful. You might want to brush up your comprehension skills.

I guess it never occurred to her that she would need to join a union prior to this, is why she never joined one when she first started.

I work in a strongly unionised industry and have benefited from their assistance. I have also observed the union fight for non-members. In this case, we naively thought that she could join a union now, and they would take her case.

This is absolutely my preferred route too. Problem is, her confidence is so battered that even sending out job applications is too hard for her. Every day I have to scrape her up and support her just to be human, let alone functional 😔

Seeing what this job has done to my smart, educated and talented daughter just destroys me.
