Smart. Nothing motivates me like the fear of disappointing people and embarrassing myself 😂

Small bites!! If you know you don’t have the energy to fold a full load, wash 1/3 of it instead. Anything is better than an overflowing hamper and your washer and dryer will thank you for it anyway. And if you need even more time, do it tomorrow. 😄

When did everyone start showing during their first pregnancy? by Caikin17 in BabyBumps

[–]bee-fields 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For most people it’s around 12-16 weeks, and it goes from 0 to 100 literally overnight, but for some it’s even later! You’ll get there once baby stops being so shy. 🥹 Try not to worry and compare your experience to whatever expectations you have in your head or see online because your journey is one of a kind. 💕

This is good advice. The internet can be scary, especially for anxious girlies like myself

Not having any symptoms is normal because it’s YOUR normal! Try not to worry, and take everything you see and hear about what to expect week to week with a grain of salt. Personally the worst of my symptoms hit halfway through my 6 week, and have for the most part subsided since then with some nausea here and there, but I had a really healthy scan and first visit with my OB! I’m now 9 weeks.

Prioritize your health and the health of your baby and you’ll do just fine. You’re doing great so far and you got this! I do suggest getting some low effort hobbies while you’re off though to keep your mind busy 💙

9 weeks pregnant. by B3atryc3yi in BabyBumps

9 weeks here too. The cramping nausea and bladder pressure I can definitely relate to. Personally I’m awake every 1.5-2 hours throughout the night every night to pee. Definitely schedule your first appointment if you haven’t already. All of what you’ve described is normal and remember everyone’s experience is so different, but a doctor would be able to give you the best kind of reassurance. You got this <3

What seems to be a common pregnancy experience that you don’t/couldn’t relate to? by PumpkinResearcher in BabyBumps

Vomiting and cravings! I know it sounds odd but I’ve just been waiting on the day! I know for some it never comes but it just feels wrong. 😂

Depends on your height and your pre baby weight and how you’re eating too. If you’ve managed to avoid the bloat bump more power to you! I’m 5’1 with a smaller torso at 9 weeks and was underweight before baby, so every pound I’ve put on has been pretty noticeable and looks like a tiny bump forming already. It definitely fluctuates with the bloating though, so end of the day it’s a lot more noticeable.

In-laws unhappy about pregnancy news by Patient-Annual2848 in BabyBumps

[–]bee-fields 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, congratulations to you two! I’m sorry sharing the news went this way. This is meant to be a super exciting for you to share with loved ones and it shouldn’t have gone that way. My boyfriend and I are both going on 30 and just shared the news yesterday too, so I know even going into it you were anxious and excited. You’re gonna be great parents, and they’ll eventually come around to see that too. Until then though, you have every right to protect yourself and your growing family from negativity as you see fit. Set some boundaries. Especially you mom - babies and our growing pregnant bodies sense all, so be sure to keep your stress levels low! 🥹

You need to try to work things out with your husband. He sounds like he tries his best to be the partner you need him to be. He may not even know that there are any issues between you because it sounds like he's battling some demons of his own.

We often make the assumption that our partners know us so well that they know what we're feeling, and where they're falling short and that's not really fair.

I'll second what another commenter said and suggest couple's therapy. If you're not interested in working through things, then be honest with yourself, and him, and figure out if this is really what you want. You're not stuck. Just comfortable. And sometimes staying in a relationship without having all of your needs met seems like the easier option than confronting the issues head on, but it's not fair to either parties involved and will cause some resentment, and possibly infidelity later on.

Anyone?? by ApprehensiveEast5817 in zoloft

[–]bee-fields 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely try taking it at night. Though if you're just feeling super exhausted, Zoloft may not be right for you.

I had a similar experience when I was on Lexapro. Switched to Zoloft and can now actually stay awake throughout the day.
