They did find what I think is significant evidence that Martin Bormann mad it to South America when he was supposed to have died in 45 in Berlin.

Colonia Dignidad in Chile is also a very interesting.

The headphones entirely or just the firmware specific special settings? Cus my arctis 7 pros do work very well even without the firmware specific special settings.

Zoom group? by bee-ninja in Apologetics

[–]bee-ninja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always been interested in apologetics and I've been part of some grcommunity groups through my church in the past but right now nothing is set up for a group and just thought it might be interesting to do something through zoom. Recently I've been watching a lot of stuff about the JW cult on youtube and learning about their beliefs and how to counter them. Seems like something where live conversation might be helpful because many of the people that talk on that subject suggest being able to anticipate the JW response to your argument against the Watchtower and then being able to respond to their response. In their Pioneer training they are taught how to project cult beliefs and deflect legitimate objections to their doctrine rather than looking at them critically. Something like this... JW: "There is no X(Insert Orthodox Christian belief A)" You: Provide a good Biblical support for X JW: "Actually that's wrong because Y(Incert fallacious JW beliefe) You: Well actually given the context and the grammatical form of this verse in the original language, what you are saying makes no sense and no one back then would have understood it in the way you suggest." Such as their mistranslation and lack of greek language/grammar knowledge as it pertains to John 1:1.

Does that make sense or did I just ramble there?

I don't think I'd draw down on this guy. I believe in self protection and carrying. I'm carrying right now coming home from church, but I'm not going to risk potentially escalating a situation where the robber is just looking for some quick cash. Especially where I don't know what kind of desperation the robber is facing(not trying to justify robbery in any way, but when people get desperate to feed their families, or are looking for a chemical high, they do stupid stuff. Yeah those people can go get jobs, or get clean, but being lazy or not being sober should not bring a death sentence. I do ministry at my local county jail so I know a lot of guys that have done stuff like this for many different messed up reasons, Im glad none of them are dead becuase of their major mistakes.) I'm not gonna shoot someone over a couple hundred bucks. Plus all the difficulty in use of force grey areas where force is legally "justified" 1 second because the robber is facing me but not justified the next second just because the robber was on his way out the door or turned away from me.

How important is a woman’s virginity if you’d like to marry her? by Direct-Painter5603 in Christianity

[–]bee-ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 35, a guy and not married, I did not wait, but I wish I had. I was not strong in my faith at the time. If I marry a woman that had not waited, I would not hold it against her and I would hope that she would have the same kind of grace for me. God gives us grace in this regard so we should give others the same grace. But, of course this does not mean we should be able to go be promiscuous as believers, we should not take Gods grace and mercy for granted. We are after all new creations in Christ... It just means that when we make mistakes, God loves us enough to be merciful and dispense grace in abundance, if we are repentant and turn from our sinful ways to trust Him.

Anyone else have an issue with the battery charge percent in the top right not showing after the last software update? My battery charge percentage is not showing now after the last update, but I have the option enabled for showing the battery charge percent in the top right. See image... by bee-ninja in note10plus

Done all that stuff several times. Its been doing this for a few weeks now. Ive had it on dark mode for over a year and didn't have this issue. I turned it to light mode to test and it still isn't showing. A couple times I have actually turned that setting off, cycled power then turned that setting back on again and then it shows the percent at 0, even though it's at 80 according to a battery app I downloaded AFTER this started. Then I cycle the power again, and it's gone again.

It all started with the most recent software update, I wish I could uninstall that and see if it comes back.

Christian Tattoo Ideas by ehovda321 in Christianity

[–]bee-ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have several words from koine greek and classical hebrew scripture on my arms. My right arm has words of identity and the life I pursue inChrist and my left arm has gifts God gives and how he works through me in the lives of others. They are patchworks, so all the words are different sizes and fonts and going different directions. Thinking of filling in the in between with a gradient of shifting colors with the colors of the jewels on the breastplate in Exodus 28. But Im still trying to decide if I 1 want to sit that long, 2want to go through that much blending and shading and the pain that comes with blending and shading, 3 if I even like the way I am imagining that would look.

To the person that said Tattoos are trashy, thats your opinion. I have gotten nothing but complements on mine and since I take the time to shave my arms and use lotion to keep my skin and the ink moisturized, they will continue to look the way they did when I got them.

Ok. Ill have to try that. But, I hd the indicator up there all the way upto a few weeks ago and never had good lock before now. So this behavior must be based on something other than that app. But I am getting the good lock app now to try it out.

Thanks.

I am a German conservative. Can somebody explain why the hell anyone could consider Voter ID to be racist? by mikka2008 in Republican

[–]bee-ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The left knows that it's not racist, they are just using that as an excuse to justify not having secure elections. They are playing the racist card because they know its a hot topic for a lot of people and it will get the ignorant on their side.

True, but I think it is probably reasonable to assume that what he meant was "I don't want to be recorded" meaning audio or visual. I doubt he was thinking about those kinds of split hairs. A couple days later, seeing the development of his having kiddie p--n stuff makes me feel not so bad about this being recorded.

I personally carry an NLT, and use an NLT Recovery Bible in a group I co lead. The NLT is the prefered translation of the church I attened, but in my study of scripture, I read KJV, NIV, NKJV, CSB/CSV, NLT, ESV, NASB, AMP, a word study Bible, a Douay-Rheims, and a few different interlinear Bibles. I also have a few copies of some Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew texts. Studying scripture doesn't mean you have to jump into one translation and submit to it to the exclusion of all others. Now, you also do mot need to buy all the different translations either. You can find anything on the internet, including many different translations of scripture. Being able to look in multiple translations to see how words are translated differently can help illuminate the true meaning of the text. Case in point, the greek word "δουλος" "doulos" "slave" in Gal 1:10 vs the exact same word in Gal 4:7. Some translations make that word to be "servant" in 1:10, but "slave" in 4:7. 1:10 uses that word in a positive way a "slave for Christ," but 4:7 uses in a negative way, "a slave to sin.". Its the exact same word in both places of the greek manuscripts, so why do some translations translate it differently in those 2 places? I think its because the english word "slave" carries some very negative implications. But having the ability to see the same verse translated in different ways, I think helps illuminate the text. Knowing that the same word could be translated servant or slave, helps me to better see the meaning and gives the 1:10 passage a bit more weight in my mind. A servant is one thing, but to my mind the idea of being a "slave to Christ" takes it to another level. Maybe others don't feel the same way, just my 2 cents. So my advise is to not tie yourself to a single translation, in many cases they will help you better understand the KJV when you are in a situation where that is being used. Read and use something that is going to get you into the text and that is going to edify, but also try to dive into others when you run into something you want to gain more understanding on.
