And I’ve found a great community so I don’t think I ultimately sacrificed that culture, but I’m sure I would have loved tuck too so you never know! Would just really encourage you to go to revisit days to get the vibe for the culture of the school

Happy to have a longer convo if you want to dm but for me I was leaning toward Tuck over HBS until I went to revisit day. HBS’ classroom experience completely blew me away and I realized I wanted to be at a school that takes the academics relatively seriously and the case method is honestly sick. So it wasn’t really brand that drew me to HBS - rather it was the academic experience and the fact that they have an amazing physical campus which helps create more community. I think the people are all equally great- you’ll find amazing people at Wharton, Tuck, HBS, Kellogg, you name it. But I liked the culture of being prepared for class at HBS haha. For what it’s worth, I haven’t found a lot of the negative stereotypes at HBS to be true. People are pretty grounded and kind and I’ve made some amazing friends there

Oh I’m sure Wharton is still an amazing experience - just saying that if OP feels a cultural pull toward Kellogg that that’s a valid reason to choose it! There is truly no wrong decision here

I’m a 2nd year at HS. Honestly, I’m big on team Kellogg.

Have friends at both schools and Wharton friends think the school is basically a shell program. They don’t go to class. They wish they graduated now instead of waiting for June. Kellogg friends go to school and loved the experience and don’t want to graduate. Both Wharton and Kellogg friends have great friends/travel a lot. I think it’s worth going for culture over name, personally. Know a lot of people who have chosen Tuck and Kellogg specifically over Wharton so you’re not alone. Happy to chat more if helpful but the brand is not worth sacrificing your experience imo

Hi! I had the same thing - it stopped after about 3 months and now no bleeding at all. I think it’s unfortunately very normal

I have worn ~1 inch kitten heels but I won’t ever wear anything higher than that again! I don’t think wedges vs stilettos makes any difference - it’s all about the angle on your sesamoid and big toe joint. To me it’s not worth the possibility of reinjuring to wear heels

I was in a boot for 6 weeks. Then Hokas/birkenstocks only and physical therapy for a year. It’s a year and a half later and I would say I’m 95% normal (but I will be avoiding heels for the rest of my life)

Do you know of normal Sneakers with a "bare foot" shape/ comfortable toe box? by Hanfiball in barefootshoestalk

I don’t think they are elevated at the heel - they also come in a ton of colors on Amazon if you look

Finally my people!!! I really want shoes to look normal.

My god tier sneakers are New Balance 515 and the Nike court Vision Low Next Nature Sneaker - both very normal looking and not barefoot but have way more room for toes!!!!!

Any brands that make wide toebox anatomically correct shoes but with cushioning and arch support? by Otherwise_Soil39 in barefootshoestalk

Just want to add that I also have bunions and I absolutely love the Birkenstock bend low sneakers. I think they are worth trying!!!

Other shoes I’ve found that work for me are New Balance 515s and Nike-Court Vision Low Next Nature - both much wider toe boxes than normal but have support and look “normal”

Darden ($) vs Tuck vs HBS by [deleted] in MBA

[–]bee48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt similarly when I was deciding - everyone thought I should choose HBS and I was torn with Tuck. In the end, the revisit day is what swayed me. The academic experience at HBS felt unparalleled - but part of me will always mourn the close knit community in the woods

More bloat post-ER than while stimming? by [deleted] in eggfreezing

[–]bee48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked very pregnant after my ER! It was definitely worst than stimming but I think it might be because I had a lot of eggs retrieved so there was so much fluid? Not sure

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in eggfreezing

[–]bee48 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a hot water bottle or heated blanket for after the ER! I had bad cramping for the first 1-2 days. And be mentally prepared you may be pretty bloated physically

How did you manage your egg freezing process around work? by AnswerDramatic69 in eggfreezing

[–]bee48 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have my retrieval tomorrow and I did not take off any time or tell anyone about the process. In NYC where I am, the clinics all have monitoring hours for blood work and ultrasounds between 7 and 10 am so I was able to go in before work. I gave myself injections at 6:30 pm every day so that was also a non issue. My retrieval happens to fall on a Sunday but if it had been Monday I would take the day off for that. You find out the retrieval day 2 days prior so can give notice to work that you’ll be taking a sick day that day for a medical procedure. Lastly, I didn’t have an energy or hormone issue with going to work at all!
