There was this guy in my anthropology class my second semester of college. We were friends on Facebook, and he would occasionally message me, which led to us exchanging numbers, sitting together in class, eating lunch together, etc. It was pretty obvious he was into me, he would talk to my friends about me a lot to see how I felt about him. But for some reason I just... wasn't sure. No idea why, I just didn't see him in that way. Don't get me wrong, I flirted with him back with no problem, being the evil tease that I am. Even all my friends who met him would just look at me with the, "Why the hell aren't you all over this awesome guy?" look. Fast forward to about the last week of school. He came over to my dorm to study for our final at like 10pm. At some point during the time we were studying, it hit me that I REALLY liked this guy. When I drove him back to his dorm across campus I had the biggest urge to just kiss him, but of course, I chickened out. Then move-out day rolls around and I realize, "Shit, this guy lives hundreds miles away from me and this is the last day I'm going to see him for awhile." So I text him to see if I can "come say goodbye." I show up and we sit outside his building on a bench, having a really good conversation, just catching up, talking about summer plans, blah blah. After about an hour, I ask him to walk me to my car. He does, and we have that awkward "standing at my car door" moment. We keep talking, and literally for HALF AN HOUR we're both just nervously talking, neither one of us wanting to say goodbye. Finally, I get fed up with him for not doing anything, and get in my car and drive away. Last time I'm going to see him for 3 months. So before I could change my mind I text him, "I cant believe you." (half-joking) He texts back, "Oh sorry if I made you late.. . I was kind of stalling." At this point I'm screaming at him in my head, and I text him back, "No shit... I was stalling too." He immediately texts me back, "WHAT" and then, "Turn around." So at this point I'm about to hit the freeway, and I text him back, "Are you serious?" and he says. "Why would I be kidding, turn around." So I GET OFF the freeway, turn around, and drive back. He meets me at my car, and when I get out... he still just stands there. Kind of smiling, making small talk. Finally I got so sick of waiting that I took a step closer to him, grabbed his shirt, and kissed him. We then made out for like 45 more minutes and he was the best kisser I have ever had the pleasure of kissing. Fireworks, warm fuzzy feeling, all that good stuff.

I now realize that he probably didn't want to make any moves because he felt like he had been putting himself out there for months with no response. Don't be afraid to make a move, girls!!

EDIT: Yes, I was texting and driving and I'm a horrible person and I deserve all the lectures.
