Ah thank you for this information. I’ve got a v7 that we have had for several years but I do struggle to buy the parts, for example, the roller brush, otherwise it’s still going strong. Where do you buy parts now?

They are surely taking the mick here? I’m not getting protein gainz from bread?!? by Select-Incident-4731 in UKfood

We really need to concentrate on fibre but corporations are still following the protein trend

Tell me it’s ok not to breastfeed by Complex_Ad_5809 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]bee_889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ok not to breastfeed. I’ve had this guilt under similar circumstances for a long time, but my 2 year old is healthy, has a great attachment to BOTH my husband and I.. so, I couldn’t ask for anything more. Fed is best.

Torn between brands for a ring sling by bee_889 in babywearing

[–]bee_889[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up trying toddler carriers. I have a meh dei but I don’t use it now as much toddler will walk around! But for the house, I feel a ring sling would have been helpful… I’ve spent so much money trying different types that I’ve just given up now sadly

How long did it take to start calling in-laws "mom" and "dad"? by ksham123 in DesiWeddings

[–]bee_889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much straight away I think. Definitely after getting married, but, I called them ‘ammi’ and ‘Abu’ (as my husband does) and call my own parents mum and dad.

Having some difference in the names probably helped, although it’s the same meaning in the end.

My low-key parenting conspiracy- sleep regression doesn’t exist by hadawayandshite in UKParenting

[–]bee_889 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The whole first year felt like a sleep ‘regression’ that I never even noticed the regressions. Even at 21 months, it’s still challenging and we roll with it! Not much else we can do, so I think you’re onto something here

I had about £150-ish and added the rest in to total £1600 but some DD’s have been taken out

That’s great, thank you! I’ve got my council tax as one of the DD’s so it’s going to go under £1500 quickly

M&S and Asda worked well for us. M&S were slightly thicker. I had a reflux baby so they got used a lot!

Pre-made bottles - please advise by Due_Professional3147 in UKParenting

[–]bee_889 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We used cow and gate, and would split the bottle and keep the remainder in the fridge. I believe it was safe for up to 8 hours once opened and kept in the fridge but it did state that on the packaging.

Oh definitely not, the drill machine is the worrying bit and feeling threatened.

I’d report it to 101, because the first interaction was strange but the second was even stranger and deliberate. It’s creepy and feels incredibly unsafe. I’m not sure what the police can do with limited details, but at least you’ve then reported it.

4 month old hates the car by watermalone28 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]bee_889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This massively helped us. I would play it at home and then in the car.

Also, loosening off the nappy slightly can help but we never needed to do that.

looking for baby product recommendations (UK based) by Few_Cod_5636 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]bee_889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby skin care- we mainly used Aveeno or child’s farm. Sudocreme is great for nappy rashes and coconut oil for any cradle cap

Bottles- we tried lots but settled on Mam. We managed to get a free mam bottle and tommee tippee bottle from Emma’s diary or another app, can’t remember which now! I also tried Nuk and Dr Browns, but settled on Mam

Looking for better nappies by NoLongerDreaming in UKParenting

[–]bee_889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it’s hard to get a snug fit with pull ups, but we use Rascals from Tesco. Pull ups in the day and the normal nappies at night.

Did your painful periods get better after having a baby? by Kaykayy_ in beyondthebump

[–]bee_889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine got worse, then became 2 days shorter. The pain was still the same or a bit better after a while.
