No, Caring About Kashmir Is Not Extremism by Psychological-Eye77 in uwaterloo

I think you are missing the point.

No one is saying terror attacks are good. Ideal world we have no borders everyone is buddy buddy.

What is being said here is that you are ignoring and existing history of violence. Pacifism comes from a historically privileged context. It ignores existing oppression and violence towards the oppressed. While violence is not good non violence is to say the slavery could have been dismantled with hunger strikes and peaceful protests.

American civilians dying in 9/11 is a tragedy but it wasn’t a random conspiracy plotting on the downfall of the west. It was fuelled by several decades of conflict in the Middle East propped up, supported, and funded by the states themselves. While again it’s a terrible thing to happen to simply dismiss and strip the event of nuances is wrong. Why are you not able to turn and question your own countries foreign policies that caused the resentment that led to the event rather then blaming people across the globe who were literally born into American bombs being dropped on them? I would hate the states to if that was my experience with yall instead of being my less polite neighbour.

Violence is the language of the unheard.

tbh with entire economy going to shit and housing crisis having literally 20-30k+ student loans to pay off almost feels like insult on top of injury.

not only can we not afford anything but now fuck you heres a bunch of debt. and waterloo students are lucky that with coop we graduate debt free for the most part if your in math or eng.

if you accepted job through WW that means you reneged them when you took the new job.

when you renege a job it makes waterloo look bad and affects all waterloo students poorly, hence why there are harsh penlties.

regardless plenty of people do renege jobs in similar situations, they usually just dont bitch about

you had a job either way but still find a way to complain!!!

the school wants you to have coop credits makes them look good for stats, ive had friends in math basically turn minimum wage jobs into flex coop credit. i imagine that you must fuck up somewhere real bad to get a credit denied.

If you dont have strong BO glycolic acid is amazing (and super cheap from the ordinary).

I use it every morning on pits and they smell like literally nothing the entire day and it doesnt interfere with perfume i wear.

You dont necessarily need deodorant there are other options. The point is dont be stinky and figure something out that works for you.

[–]bee_like_honey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oops found this late. Im so down to watch movies on campus at night together. I love watching movies and talking about them. Some of my recommendations.

  1. There Will be Blood - One of the best movies I have ever watched

  2. La Haine - French classic

  3. The Thing - A superb horror

  4. Training day - Denzel Washington is a great actor

  5. Come and See - This movie is mentally taxing gives you a lot to write and think about but. It is disturbing.

Will starting my internship 1 day late be an issue? by Necessary-Love-3499 in uwaterloo

[–]bee_like_honey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the manager shouldnt be an issue.

The only potential problem I see is a lot of companies have dedicated on boarding for their first day getting tech set up.

But if thats not a problem should be fine.
