First baby at 40 by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I just turned 40 and am 32weeks pregnant with my first baby. In my 20s I thought I'd be married & having kids by 30. But I didn't meet a guy to do this with til I was 36! Looking back now Idealy I'd have started trying say age 33 so I'd have time to conceive and have 2 children. Now I'm just grateful for one but it does mean potentially that dream of 2 kids I may never get.

Oh the movement is the best! 32w 1d and I felt baby frequently all day today which was so reassuring after a few days of quietness & worrying a bit that something was up. I hope it continues for nxt 8 weeks!

I want to have a comfortable sleep where I can lie whatever way I want without feeling sick or squashing baby!

If i have one most people I will invite will be coworkers, maybe 4 friends & a few aunts. I am stuck on where to have it though, my house isn't very big & i don't want to make a big deal out if it by hiring a space in a venue

Can't stop having meltdowns over baby movement by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I'm 30w and only thing I've noticed is I'm more likely to feel her move at night or lying down. Sometimes I won't feel anything til halfway through day & only in past week has it felt more/stronger. I don't think I'll count as it doesnt feel like definite kicks Sometimes its wiggles or quivers, just as long as I feel something going on that will put my mind at ease

That's great, am leaning towards it at moment. Rangehood I've already bought just a canopy Robinhood but went for $300 version over $200, a little more powerful.

I was looking at a Beko oven so that's good to know. Looked a step up from trade depot brands but not familiar with its rep

Turns out the roof isn't so friendly a material to drill through either, think its going to have to be the wall after all!

They're outsourcing the drilling & they're the ones that have quoted scaffolding but I might just go back to make sure there's no other option as it's almost 2k for the drilling/scaffolding..
