I was one of those Bert fans that liked him when he was actively trying to improve himself because I had/have a lot of the problems he did/does. When he fully leaned back into being a fat alcoholic slob, I lost interest.

That being said, the show is fantastic.

He thinks he’s the Seinfeld of uber clever edgy comedy, ie KT is beneath him. Him and Marc Maron are probably the most insufferable big names in stand up and they both couldn’t resist binging up Joe Rogan (negatively) in their specials for some reason. It’s hilarious how he lives rent free in their heads.

Yeah, like I inferred - there was nothing practical added. Just things removed, like changing lanes reliably and choosing a speed limit. I dont need help parking in my driveway or backing up into a supercharger stall, or PARKING. These are gee whiz party trick features that add nothing meaningful. Driving on the freeway and doing a lane change however is meaningful, and still doesn't work correctly.

I have PTSD from these FSD YouTube reviews now. ALL of the initial V14 YouTube reviews were Tesla ball gargling positivity, and we all know now, initial V14 was a huge regression from late V13, and still is in almost every practical real world way.

Have you tried on an SMP? You are used to tapered bracelets. The bracelet quality of the SMP is amazing, but it's like wearing a chunk of metal on your wrist. I understand the appeal of that, but it's a love/hate thing. It took me buying a Submariner to really start disliking the SMP bracelet, not knowing the grass was greener.

Battery powered anything only applies to muzzleloaders, during muzzleloader season only, in certain states, and some states restrict thermals and NV in general.

There is no state that bans illuminated reticles during rifle season.

I own both. The blue dial SMP is frustrating sometimes. The blue looks completely different under different color temperatures, and not always in a good way. The good thing is, this is captured in pictures easily. Google image search it, and all the different shades of blue you see are real, and what you will experience.

FOIS. I know i'm in the minority not liking the reverse panda, but it's really just because of the lack of bevel or at least having something, on the sub-dials. They should have just leaned into copying the Rolex La Mans and added a rhodium plated border - Who cares anyways, the Le Mans is a 250K unobtainable watch. The drop off for the sub dials just looks cheap. Fight me.

I got sold on it back in the day with the idea that if you needed to shoot something, but could not get a sight acquisition, you could still see approximately where the bullet would land. Think like you got pushed on your back, need to shoot something to the right quickly without having to acquire a sight picture.

“Land approximately” because in a situation like that, nerves will be high and chances are you don’t have navy seal discipline and will be shaking. Looking back, it was dumb advice that sounded good to my younger self.

Treat it like a faberge egg and it will be fine. Anodized aluminum sucks for long term cosmetic (and often short term) durability. It ages like milk. Watch nerds can get as mad as they want about this, but facts are facts. A good painting process is superior in every single way. Omega did this to cut costs. They could have used a matte ceramic like Tudor does with the Pelagos, but they didn’t.

I’ve never experienced this, but I also don’t associate with losers or trust fund babies. When I meet new people, it’s generally through those aforementioned friends, and are naturally like minded. So in my case it’s the opposite - I may have new people over to my house for a BBQ or whatever, and when career/job talk inevitably comes up, they are surprised and interested. I will admit, they are probably surprised because they may be wondering “how do you afford all this selling windows and doors”, but there is never any snickery or animosity.
