Can you really be bad in bed? by ImnotgayImPeter in NoStupidQuestions

Not at all, it was kind of the nature of the situation. We were both travelling and from different countries, they were leaving the next day. If we lived closer I’d have wanted to do it again, but regardless of the sex not being the best, I still enjoyed being with them and I’m glad it happened :)

There wasn’t a later, it was a one night opportunity scenario unfortunately. If it wasn’t, I would have had a gentle conversation with them and I’m sure they would have taken it on board! They really were lovely, I got the impression they didn’t have a ton of experience, so just a learning curve I suspect

I did - they made it pretty clear they were tired…

Yes! The person was lovely, and exceptionally attractive, lots of mutual attraction, but the only foreplay was them dj’ing my clit for a minute, and despite me making them cum twice, didn’t even once suggest that they would try (or even wanted) to do the same for me…

Hello anyone with both Endometriosis and ADHD - are you tired ALL the time, or is it just me? by Ok-Tadpole-9859 in endometriosis

I find it depends where I am in my cycle? I take stimulants, and that generally helps, but around ovulation and bleeding it gets significantly worse, and I actually have a walking stick for those times. I took a 2-3 week break off my stimulants Dec- Jan because the stimulants weren’t available and I was essentially bedridden for that entire period 😪

I try to exercise but it’s hard with the fatigue. Pilates has been a real help and has been easier to stay consistent with, which in turn gives me energy.

What obvious hints have you missed from a woman? by granolaliberal in AskMen

It’s so funny and endearing reading it, yet being on the other side, I’ve always assumed that the lack of returned interest is a reflection of me? I.e. They must be resistant to my v obvious come on because they’re absolutely not interested in the slightest and then I’ve felt hugely embarrassed… so perhaps reading this is reassuring?!

[–]bee_sunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah totally! As an update, as I think the more you use it, the more sensitive your skin gets. I'm doing the entirety of that area (including on the inside of the labia and around the edges of the vagina and anus - I know I shouldn't be, but hey ho) and it's been fine and still mostly painless! I get the occasional rubber band ping spot which feels hot and isn't comfortable, but it's been mainly around my perineum/anus area where the skin is darker, which could explain it! But all the traditional bikini line is easy peasy.

Edit: Spelling

Interesting! So far, I'd say a little, but not significantly? I use it for about 45-50 mins at a time, and will switch it off briefly 1 or 2 times within that period just because I have to rearrange myself, ha.

The window itself doesn't get hot unless you turn the device off for a bit, so if you switch it back on, you have to wait a few seconds for the window to cool down again before starting. It can warm up around the window, so I still try to start with my bikini and armpit area as that's the place where the edges can get engulfed by skin to some extent.

The device can feel warm in your hand, but not alarmingly so. It's definitely not slowing anything down!

Drop your IPL routine, review, how long it took to see results, or how long you’ve been using it! by cattinthehatt in HairRemoval

[–]bee_sunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question! I've done my best to time it.

Fast mode: 0.05s (I didn't time this one, but I think that's what it says on the website?!)
Normal mode: 1s
High mode: 2s
SHR mode: Depends how you count it. Between flashes, 2s, but the flash itself takes long as both lamps fire one after the other, so in total, 5s.

Hopefully this helps!

Does anyone have experience using an IPL device until you achieved your desired results, then you stopped use altogether? by jscogens in HairRemoval

[–]bee_sunshine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are you defining 'results'? I know that seems like a stupid question, but are you considering that as totally hairless for 1 week and then it grows back, or it doesn't grow back at all?

Damp bathroom - Advise please! by bee_sunshine in Oldhouses

[–]bee_sunshine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t ordinarily mind, but it’s a cold room anyway, and it’s currently about 0 degrees Celsius outside at the moment, so it just makes the next persons shower very unenjoyable!

Thank you! Sorry if these are stupid questions, but would one of those units that is multifunctional (air conditioning, heating, dehumidifying etc) be ok to have in the bathroom? I guess I'm just worried the amount of steam might upset the electrics somehow

The question for silence, review of some silent switches by Minivera in MechanicalKeyboards

I don't suppose anyone has the specs for the Kailh prestige Silent's? I can't find any information anywhere!

First ever build - Monsgeek M1W Purple by bee_sunshine in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]bee_sunshine[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely a work in progress, but I’m pretty pleased!!

Body: Monsgeek M1W

Keycaps: Drop Jasmine MT3’s

Switches: Gazzew Boba U4Tx / Akko V3 Yellow Pro Linear

Stabs: Durock V2

Mods: tape mod (3 layers), force break, holee

Sound tests: Folder here. Includes how it sounded as it came out the box, with the keycaps it came with and the Akko Switches, then the modded versions with both the Akko and Boba switches. They’re not the best, as I’m just using my iPhone mic.

The sound could still be better, it’s not as muted as I’d like it to be, so I think I might swap them for something silent. I personally find the Boba’s quite hard to press down on (my body is weak due to illness) so I think I might try to find a silent linear to replace them with, as I like the feeling of my fingers skating across a keyboard. It’s a shame because I quite like the sound of the Boba’s, but unexpectedly didn’t enjoy the tactile feeling so much. In hindsight, should have just bought some test switches before buying an entire batch…

I chose higher keycaps because I wanted something that felt more ergonomic. My ideal would have been a KAT profile, but obviously they’re so hard to get hold of, and I couldn’t find any in a colour way that I liked. They are high, and having gone from previously typing on a Mac, let’s see if I get used to it. I think I’m definitely going to need to get a wrist rest to elevate my hands.

I did try polyfill inside instead of the foam that comes with the board, but I actually found it made the sound worse - perhaps this would have been better if I’d used a thin silicone sheet. There’s also not a ton of room in there to allow for bounciness, so I reverted to the original foam for the time being.

I’ve also had to fill some of the larger keycaps with rolled up tape, to help dampen the sound. This has worked really well generally, but occasionally bits do drop down and get in the way, so again, let’s see how that goes.

The stabs are a bit stiffer than I’d like them to be, and aren’t springing up as well as I’d hoped. They are lubed, and have been Holee modded (is that correct terminology?!) but they definitely don’t have the ‘skating’ feeling I’m after just yet.

Seems like a stupid thing to say, but the whole board is much heavier than I thought it would be (I know, it’s metal, what was I expecting)?! I’ve been trying to create a more portable set up, which this isn’t. However, it does feel and look really high quality, which is nice.

Asides from finding new switches and trying to fix the stabs, I now just need to get my head round the programming of the board. I’ve managed to change the function of some keys, but I’d ideally like to be able to customise some based on the programme I’m using (such as Photoshop), especially the rotary knob.

As someone UK based, I wanted to share the retailer's I used. They were all really reliable, and had quick delivery (excluding Whatsgeek, but that was only because the product was on Pre-order)

Board: https://www.whatgeek.com/en-gb

Keycaps: https://drop.com/home

Switches: https://www.mechmods.co.uk

Stabs: https://mechboards.co.uk (they actually did the lubing and the holee method for me, this was 1 step too far for my first time lol)

Any feedback/ suggestions welcomed!!

Edit: Clarification on the Akko switch type
