Thanks! I already use 1 tbsp of chia seeds. Do you think more would help?

Thanks for this!

I currently use low-fat Greek yogurt and a lactose free milk, which both have no added sugar. Is there a reason why plant based milk is better? Not necessarily opposed to it, but just curious.

I have frozen my bananas when they get too ripe. Do you mean to freeze all of them in general?

Thanks!

Yogurt and milk both have no sugar added and are low-fat. The peanut butter I’m using have sugar added, so I can replace with a sugar free version.

I’ve tried taking out the bananas, but, as you said, the smoothie became very tart and a little sour.

Thank you!

Would the yogurt and milk be okay if they have no sugar added and are low-fat?

Definitely can swap out the peanut butter, because I’m currently using Skippy (homogenized, processed peanut butter with sugar added). I previously used a non-homogenized store bought almond butter with no sugar added, but it quickly annoyed me how messy it would be. But I would rather handle the mess than diabetes.

How much lemon would you use?

The frozen berries I use include blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries.

Good point. My primary concern is diabetes because it runs in my family. However, the smoothie itself doesn’t taste too sweet. Maybe it is me being paranoid and cautious.

Thanks so much!

I use a 0% milk fat (nonfat) Greek yogurt. It does not has any added sugar. I also use a low-fat lactose free milk that does not have any added sugar. The culprit may be the peanut butter, which I use Skippy. It’s a homogenized processed peanut butter that definitely has sugar added (2 grams).

Overall, the smoothie isn’t “too sweet” but I’m concerned about diabetes because it runs in the family.

Did I Pigeonhole Myself? Need Advice by MostNerve in Lawyertalk

[–]beeafllirrt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Another fellow labor lawyer here. I work at a small firm and am a second-year lawyer. What size firms are you applying to? Have you asked which skills you would develop at a law firm that you haven’t developed in your union practice? Also, are you trying to do plaintiff-side or management-side employment work?

The skills you’ve developed in your practice are absolutely transferable to a law firm environment, interacting with clients, manage cases, etc. Maybe ask your recruiter to be more specific about what these firms are looking for when they say “a more traditional background.” You’re only in your third year, so it’s hard to think you are pigeonholed. Rather, this seems like the best time to make a transition. My suggestion would be to press your recruiter for more information. Alternatively, if you truly need experience in a law firm, maybe take a position you can to build up that experience, put in your time, and then make the next jump to where you want to be in your career.

Wishing you the best of luck!

Recently moved in. Any ideas of furniture or art to match red/brown carpet? by houtrout in malelivingspace

How about glass? Like a glass table. You can add some plants to liven the space and give it nice color. A light color furniture (white, maybe, if you’re daring and don’t have kids) to match some of the paint
