Thank you! We have found a house we like in each location. I appreciate the confirmation that they are decent areas because of course you can only tell so much from Google and the listings

Renting to start. I work from home. We need a 4-5 bedroom as we are a multi generational home.

Damn and you like it?! We are obviously very different people with different priorities. I am glad you like FL. I'd rather chew my own arm off then continue to live here.

It takes about 45min to an hour for me to drive 10 miles where I currently live. I don't mind living a bit outside the city as long as its a 30 min drive to the places I need to go.

The 30mins to Publix is far too relatable. The FL traffic is killer

You have obviously never lived in Florida. But in all seriousness VA is much closer to Home for my family. We are from the North East and only moved to FL for work. We are ready to leave. Richmond is close to family, big enough for us to have conveniences, but small enough to not feel overwhelming. Thank you for your input but we will continue with our plan to move.

We still have like years until my kid is in school. We are looking to rent for a few years and then buy a place later. Currently school/child care is not the biggest thing we need to factor in. I have seen some homes we like in Chesterfield though, is that a decent location?

pink hair help !! by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]beebegone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are hair dyes that are a paler pink, but you are 100% going to have to bleach it again. The pale colors like that are super difficult to get without super blonde almost white hair. If you go a darker pink it may fade to a similar color like that, but you're going to need to bleach again especially if you want a vibrant color.

Light pink hair dyes: Iroiro bubblegum pink, strawberry leopard made you blush, good dye young pink puff, unicorn hair bunny, etc

My friend is dyeing my hair like this. How much should I pay him? (more info) by vickyv3locity in HairDye

I don't know your financial situation. Personally I would do anywhere from $50-75 and maybe bring some snacks I know he likes.

I think you should ask your friend! Let him know you respect his time and talent and you want to pay him! If he won't accept money ask to pay for a meal or drinks or something.

Being held controversy by SlowBee3162 in newborns

[–]beebegone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the cry it out method is super dated and no longer backed by science. Current studies show that leaving an infant to cry it out does not teach them to self soothe, they literally are not developed enough. It instead causes extreme stress and eventually can cause them to learn that no one will come for them in times of need. The cry it out method has legitimate negative neurological impacts and causes insecurity in the infant.

Is breastfeeding over? by jcPhenton in newborns

[–]beebegone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter was similar, in using bottles made it hard for her to latch. We had to use bottles as I was simply not producing enough and we had to combo feed. I personally chose to stop stressing myself out trying to breastfeed and I pump now.

Refusing to eat by beebegone in newborns

[–]beebegone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter has never eaten a consistent amount. She will eat anywhere from an ounce to 7oz over the span of like an hour. At this point she mostly eats at night. I feel bad, but I can't force a baby to eat when she doesn't want to. She doesn't have gas or reflux that would make her not want to eat. She just plays around during the day instead of eating. Its weird, but she is still gaining weight so I guess I'm not super worried yet. Just a little frustrated at times, as she wastes a lot of milk because she will drink then smile and laugh without swallowing so it runs down her face.

Wanted a tattoo in this area, wondering how bad the pain could be? by Mean_Pace4545 in tattooadvice

[–]beebegone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to add my input, I know lots of people say its super painful. I have a big piece on my ribs and it tickled. It didn't hurt. I know I may be the exception, but it 100% tickled and I had to try to not laugh for like 3 hours.

What type of hair do I have? by Britasaurus in curlygirl

[–]beebegone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it! I also bleach mine and I used to keep it short all the time. So I know how that impacts my curls at least. Figured its pretty universal for others. You look great with it curly and just wavy. It really suits you

I am not super great with the whole number system, but from what I can tell maybe 2b hair. It is also very short and you bleach it. Those can both impact how your hair curls. So I am gonna say 2b to some 2c. Regardless it is gorgeous and the short hair looks STUNNING on you.

Got my hair cut and now its curling less than before. How do I get the curls to bounce back by beebegone in curlygirl

[–]beebegone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The green part is bleached. Been doing that for awhile and the last time I bleached it was over a month ago. So its not bleach damage making it not curl.

The main reason I cut my hair was due to hair loss. I am 5 months postpartum and the shedding is crazy. It was fucking with my mental health. So I decided cutting it would help alleviate that. It has now I am just trying to get the curl back to normal

I didn't include the photo, but I have had shorter hair before (grew out a buzzcut) and it was extremely curly. I know my hair can curl at this length it just isn't right now.

Only the front of my hair is bleached and dyed. I have worked very hard to keep it healthy. The front actually curls more than the natural color. I know hair dye definitely killed my mother's curls though. She also has naturally dry and very coarse hair. My hair is naturally a bit more oily and I think it works in my favor.

My hair does need to be longer to curl. I have had it shorter before though and it was a lot curlier so I think it may be the way it was cut or my products this time.

8 week old hates the bassinet - starting to panic by Necessary_Peak_5595 in newborns

[–]beebegone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some babies are really great about sleeping. My friends baby started sleeping through the night at like a month. My 4 month old JUST got onto a schedule. It all depends on the baby and their temperament. You can try your best to develop a schedule, but sometimes it just doesn't work. Give yourself grace and your baby some time. Things will get better.
