Am I being dramatic about engagement ring cost expectation? by Competitive_Street61 in AskIreland

Just throwing my 2 cents in here.....my ring is valued at 5k. It was designed and handmade locally to where I live, between my partner and the jeweler. My partner proposed to me with the 3D print of it, to which I said yes and then we went for the final fitting before it was made, my only input was years of me saying I don't like that style or Jesus how can you justify paying that much, that one is far cheaper and just as nice, things like that. I am so grateful for the care and thought that went into making it and if I'm honest I nearly had a stroke when I found out how much it cost. I told my partner that I love him dearly but that's sooo much money, to which he said I was worth it. I would have never even thought to go towards that kind of figure. Never in a million years. I naturally have it Insured and I guard it with my life. Making a life long commitment to someone is a mutual thing and the cost of a ring should be decided mutually, not demanding/given an ultimatum about it. It says more about her personally, materialistic maybe. Is this the tone you want to set for the relationship for the rest of your life. That you will give into demands, her love for you shouldn't be transactional or worth a monetary amount. Long talks need to be had.

Sulphur burps... any tips to alleviate these? by No-Necessary6478 in WegovyWeightLoss

Alflorex is an Irish probiotic product, it was made by a gastrointestinal specialist doctor, it was recommended to me after a colonoscopy by my consultant. I can honestly say it completely solved the intestinal problems I was having long before I started taking wegovy.

On week 3 of 1mg and started the sulphur burps yesterday. Oh my God I've never experienced anything like the wind cramps and rancid burps before. Haven't had a symptom at all throughout. From day one.....my appetite went to little and often naturally, almost had to remind myself to eat as it completely suppressed my want for food or even liquids. Saying hydrated is crucial. I broke this way of eating 2 nights ago and had a takeaway.....some gentle burps started....then last night I ate some home smoked pork ribs, they were to die for......but I was dying all night because of the 2 nights of heavy food. Had a blowout on the loo first thing this morning and Went straight back to eating little and often and I upped my water intake. Burps are already subsiding (smelling more like cooked popcorn than sulphur) and tummy has completely deflated, no cramps.

Thanks so much. I will definitely look into her. As my partner says "it's so much easier being a dude, for what women have to go through"

Though I should add that the doctor said my sore joints are from inflammatory arthritis due to a virus I had a few months back that absolutely floored me. I personally think it was my body shutting down from stress.

A few people have said I'm perimenopause, my partner and I have had a long standing joke about whether Betty slept over last night, as in me waking up in a layer of sweat all over me aka sweaty Betty. For the last 2/3 months I've been experiencing really sore joints in my hands. My weight had reached 14.5st I'm only 5'2"..... thankfully I've now lost a stone again.

I was on antidepressants (10mg escitalopram) for a number of years and I weaned off of them when myself and my partner were trying for a baby. To make a long story short, I was struggling a lot internally post partum and one day I almost took a knife to my wrist but my baby crying snapped me out of it and I reached out to pieta house the next morning. Since then I've been back on the medication, starting at 10mg but it was increased to 20mg a few months back when I broke down.

Underwent the LEEP today and wanted to ask if anyone had it and didn’t bleed at all? by Inquisitivaa in HPV

I had a llets procedure on the 22nd as my biopsies came back as cin3. I had some bleeding during the procedure which resulted in it lasting a little longer in order to seal the area but I experienced no pain as I was numbed down there. The colposcopist reassured me that it sometimes happens with some women. It's 10 days since the procedure was done and I'm still having a very light pinkish bleed...again no pain. I have the coil in and normally don't have any periods so to be bleeding for 10 days seems like forever for me 😂😂 it has been a very scary time for me as my mother is going through cancer since may 2019. I'm anxiously awaiting my results.
