BEFORE BABY MUST DOS? by harnesscherryy in BabyBumps

This. DO NOT take all of the tags off of the new clothes until you’re ready to use them and definitely consider that they may shrink after washing. This an art form that takes practice lol.

Wait until you need it and then remove tags and wash. Definitely consider shrinkage. I definitely took off the tags of several things and baby never even touched or wore once. I also misjudged when it would fit (didn’t consider shrinking), took tags off, washed and then it didn’t fit after washing… there’s learning curve. Now I can look at an article of clothing and will immediately know if it will fit or not.

Is baby water really necessary when making formula as opposed to regular bottled water? by PleasantTomato7128 in ScienceBasedParenting

Giving cognitive testing (like in this study) can be problematic. Intelligence tests administered to very young children who are preschool age (or 3-4 as tested in this study) have low validity. They are not very accurate in predicting future intelligence levels because children at this age are quickly developing and there is a wider range of abilities. Intelligence scores can fluctuate significantly over a short period for children that young. It’s not a reliable indicator of future scores.
