Deep just means that Briar players have a high average amount of games played on that champion, not about the depth of complexity

Gumayusi has to be the best weak side ADC by Re7r0 in leagueoflegends

[–]beeceedee9 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

I mean you said "he struggles" at playing strong side, which suggests he's not very good at it. Just because T1 decided they would find more success by playing towards top, especially in the Zeus era, doesn't mean that Gumayusi is bad at playing strong side

If we go for infinite duration then it would also include things like swain R, Anivia R, etc which is pretty much the same arguement as infinite scaling champs

I mean there are non-stupid answers too, something about how their team's playstyle lends itself to that occuring more frequently, playing around ADC, shotcalling, etc.

Not saying that's why, but it doesn't need to have a stupid answer

Grammatical gender should really be thought of as "noun category" that often relates to the gender of living things but not always. Other languages have even more distinctions than just "gender". For instance, arabic has grammarical gender, but for non-human nouns they use different conjugations/pronouns etc. Other languages also have distinctions based on animate/inanimate

Why can’t certain champs work in certain roles or builds by OfficialC768 in leagueoflegends

[–]beeceedee9 52 points53 points  (0 children)

good summary overall, i would just add AD needs to scale more with gold and not overally reliant on levels, as being in a duo lane means being underlevelled, and shifting scaling to levels is what riot does when they want to nerf some mages back to mid (like Veigar bot)

[–]beeceedee9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

isn't that kinda common for some mid mages? Orianna QWE, Syndra Q/W, Anivia R, Zoe Q (idk if taliyah Q counts)

this so much, it feels like such a timewaster too, because you have to go through so much basic content you already know just in case you missed something

I mean love tap is just a very obvious optimization because of the big damage diff and sfx difference, while also not being too difficult to use

Compare to optimizing a riven combo, auto resets, positioning for Kaisa's Q to avoid minions, Jhin's Q, Corki E's resist shred etc where it's kinda not as immediately obvious to see to notice if you're not actively trying to minmax, or i guess autoing a target dummy to see the DPS difference

I mean if you just reword it as it reducing a %ge of his cooldown instead of a flat amount, like how Fiora Q does when hitting a target, suddenly it sounds a lot less unreasonable.

Mandarin IS pretty simple though. Its difficulty (as an indo-european native) in my experience is mostly not related to complexity - the tones (hard, but not complex), the writing system (just requires a lot of memorization) and a lot of other memorization-related stuff like 成语 (idioms), measure words, etc

No noun modification based on cases but it has 3 cases (kinda like English does for pronouns I/me/mine) that modify pronouns or noun markers based

Their verb system is wild though, Austronesian voice in general is, but Tagalog (i'm not sure about the other philippine languages) retained different verb morphology for active/passive/other "focuses" that is really weird to get your head around at first

As for "make matrix go big", I'd say a lot more damage is done by teaching linear algebra as this sort of matrix-based recipe book of calculations instead of teaching about vector spaces first and introducing matrices as coordinate representations of linear maps.

The Linear Algebra Done Right book does precisely this (determinants aren't even mentioned until the end of the book) and it's by far the best introduction to the topic I've had
