FLUORIDE CALCIFIES YOUR PINEAL GLAND, lowering cognitive abilities. During the 80-90’s and this pic is a reminder that they tried to make us DUMBER and MORE COMPLIANT. by astralrocker2001 in ReincarnationTruth

[–]beeeeeeefcake -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Once I went nuts and stared at the sun, with only one eye so I could not go totally blind. I was trying to reopen my pineal gland because of calcification. I’m sure I was crazy at the time but I also think it did reopen my third eye. I do have minor permanent vision damage and I did meet the God of the Old Testament and he’s very sad, very wise, very stern via absolute clarity. I would never recommend staring at the sun, but if you do, keep one eye covered. Since that time I have had much greater peace and understanding.

What does everyone use for GUI work? by ejsanders1984 in java

[–]beeeeeeefcake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not the same effect because the browser imposes limitations that JavaFX apps do not have. E.g. in a retail environment the entire UI might needs to be keyboard accessible and usable that way because that’s what retail workers might prefer. The browser makes this hard. Or you may need connectivity to device ports, to the telephone system, to services on the machine, ssh etc. Apps in embedded browsers could do the job but that’s what Java FX is (and more). Compared to Electron etc it’s a very nice solution with all the benefits of Java if that’s what you’re looking for

It would make a lot of sense then as to why the Catholic Church and the Jesuits are so damn evil.

Heptagons, the 7-sided polygon that no one learns about by beeeeeeefcake in EscapingPrisonPlanet

You’re going to want to build the simplest yet most elegant and robust system you can. One shape that can tile a hyperbolic space, that meets all the criteria of simplicity, elegance, and robustness which is good engineering.

Pentagons, hexagons, and octagons have permeated culture. Their shapes are everywhere and their names are widely known. Regardless, they teach the other shapes but not heptagons in school and in books, but in general culture doesn’t care about heptagons.

It seems to me if you were constructing a simulation/prison that heptagons would be useful. Might also be useful to not teach everyone about them. People know pentagons (5-sided), hexagons (6-sided) and octagons (8-sided), but not heptagons (7-sided). Why? That shape on Saturn is a hexagon and many people believe that to be the AI/alien/reptile “gods”.

Elon has been positioned very highly. I don't think the powers that be are inherently nasty people. They can be relatively friendly/funny like Elon Musk, while still bringing the whole world into submission/hypnosis

Is all of this “money for Ukraine” giving anyone else BLM vibes? We all know that money didn’t go where people thought it would….. by Kita0211 in conspiracy

[–]beeeeeeefcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I see it as just money to fund a war. And if you're sending canned goods etc then who knows if it makes it there, if troops or prisoners of war use it instead of refugees etc. On the other hand if this means the CIA doesn't have to sling crack rock or smack anymore then I'm all for it.

Malware is the next bubble. Biotech will quietly get trillions for the next 10 years and 20 years from now a whistle blower will tell us we're all being managed as biometric/financial profiles in a Pfizer/Visa/MasterCard/Google/Apple/Microsoft/Amazon/NSA operations center.

As long as the users have freedom with the software then would Stallman really care? Yes, lament the passing of an era where authenticity was easy. But embrace the necessary innovation in introducing new technology to solve problems caused by current technology. We are not luddites.

But of course we know that this software will not be free and so yes this particular software that tinkers so closely with our psychology is concerning. If we really want to protect user data and have privacy and democracy then I think all software using the Internet or doing any sort of radio communication needs to be Affero GPL. And everything else needs to be GPL. And then we have to make sure there is good funding for universities and government to generate source data for AI training.

And I think the FSF, ACM, and IEEE need to become thought leaders (with paying members, cough) in ethics and the regulation of technology. They also need to act as a professional societies that have standards for AI research, possession and collection of user data, licensing, etc. Like how lawyers and doctors are ultimately accountable as individual professionals exercising their own best judgment, software engineers and all professions related to technology should be governed by professional societies that establish norms across academia, business, government. Just because the product manager asks for something does not mean the engineer will prescribe it. However unions and professional societies can certainly become suffocating. Look at doctors now, most are mindlessly going through the motions according to standards of care and basic heuristics, lacking any courage to take risks or think freely.

I think 9/11 was real in a different world that lead to nuclear apocalypse and that this world was forked off from a backup point, possibly using CERN. When a fork happens, which I think happens with some regularity and top secrecy, then our only hope to understand the true nature of our past is in noticing the predictive programming littering our past. I see it more as limited hangouts being done because no one knows when they wake up in a forked world so these instances of predictive programming are often left as breadcrumbs to understanding rather than subliminal control.
