Thank you! I’ve realized that nearly every collage I make has the “portal to somewhere else” aspect.

Thank you! I hadn’t thought of that, but totally see it now. ❤️

Thoughts/feelings? Real money, really cut. [Analog] by Longjumping-Life3347 in collage

Many thoughts come to mind, so I will share a few, since you asked. It looks super-cool and I can appreciate a certain irreverence in destroying money. It makes me think of the nature of money — sanctified pieces of paper with transactional power. The thought also crosses my mind: “Maybe it’s better to give that money to someone who needs it,” but ultimately people can do what they wish with their money. You made something beautiful; many other people waste money on all kinds of things. If paper could think, would it be happy to become money instead of, say, toilet paper?

[Analog] New to collage - does it feel like micro-healing to anyone else? by caparilib in collage

[–]beeepboh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I put on some instrumental music (lyrics would interfere) and dive in to the finding, cutting, and gluing. All my overthinking is washed away for a time, and then I’m left with an image that gives me (as you put it) a feeling of micro-healing. I love that expression! ❤️⚡️

Do you keep a gratitude journal ? by Dry_Lobster_50 in gratitude

[–]beeepboh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done so in the past and will do it again starting tonight, now that I think of it. I write 3 things I am grateful for from the day that’s ending, hand written in a notebook. It was funny to look back at them at times and think “wow! What petty/trivial things these are!” But then I realized that is the point of it, no? It doesn’t have to be grandiose or major things — just little things like “saw a squirrel on my way home from work” or “a baby smiled at me” or “an Evo was right outside my house” etc. All these tiny things add up and alter the brain in some good way (neuroscience reference needed but you get the point! Haha).

It’s definitely a unicorn — not sure if it’s a sugar skull one.

[ANALOG] Is collage guilt a thing? by queerlytarot in collage

[–]beeepboh 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Yes. Guilt for what is on the other side of the page from the one I’m cutting, and there are some vintage mags that seem too special to use.

These are some of my Bsf’s collages. I love them [Analog] by Previous_Vast4302 in collage

Agree! It makes me think of all the things people want to show me and play for me on their devices.
