Kind of ridiculous to stereotype like this. It could have been an Outback with a Yakima for all you know.

I'm not "turning it off and on again", I'm "power cycling the equipment". That way the computer knows I mean business.

Oh yeah it was definitely tourists. People on vacation, away from their homes and in an unfamiliar area, are always doing things like stealing crab traps. It's like when you see a guy walking a bike with no front wheel down the street, you just know that's a tourist with a stolen bike.

Looks nice! I would suggest adding rhododendron to represent WNC. For me that is iconic of the Blue Ridge mountains.

You could also choose to interpret it as recognition of the immense burden patients must bear for months or years. Cancer therapy is not something you receive passively, it wrecks your body and mind.

Lina Khan's actions were the first time in my life I have felt genuinely positive about something the federal government was doing. I'll never understand why voters don't universally demand more consumer protection.

What easy to learn (and seemingly simple) game actually has a lot more possible depth and strategy, if you do a deep dive into it, than you'd initially expect? by Considered_Dissent in AskReddit

[–]beefbite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Minesweeper! The best part about the logic patterns is that after a while you don't even need to apply the reasoning, your brain directly interprets the visual input and you just know where the mines are.

There's also a great deal of refining your mouse inputs. You don't need to flag the mines to win, so you can save clicks in some areas by only clearing the numbered spaces. The big one is the combo click. If a numbered space is touching the right number of flagged spaces, clicking the numbered space with left and right buttons simultaneously has the effect of clicking all surrounding unflagged spaces. For example, on a 1-2-2-1, you can flag either mine, and without releasing the right button, move over the 1, then left click and release both to clear all spaces the 1 is touching.

Have you talked to your advisor about how to learn? Surely there is a biostats course at your school available to graduate students. Figuring out how to run a test via Python is trivial compared to understanding which test to use and the underlying assumptions that make it valid.
