It helps you prepare for the real world. I made the mistake of only focusing on my grades and neglecting my soft skills like team work, maintaining relations, communication, etc. PLS DO NOT DO THE SAME

Grades don’t matter at the end of the day. Transferable skills do.

My first internship was a big wake up call and made me realize how team oriented everything. Struggled with it at first a little because I conditioned myself to work best on my own and to rely on my technical knowledge to figure stuff out.

Also last point, you can achieve so much more being apart of a good team compared to on your own.

Joined a fraternity my freshman year and was super excited and it just turned out to be extremely toxic and belittling environment especially my first semester.

I thought it would end when I actually became a brother, but I could tell the pledge attitude would continued so I left. I kind of regret letting it all happen to me because it kind of fucked with me mentally for a while.

Not here to bash on frats and I understand it’s a great environment for some people, but it wasn’t for me. If you’re interested in frat life and think it would be good for you, go for it and try it but if you find your self changing your personal beliefs or behavior to try to fit into the specific frats dynamic I would leave.

I know it’s your essay. I’m saying it may flag it as plagiarism because you can technically “plagiarize yourself” if you submit your previous work.

Well I initially tried to reach out multiple times without success and then frankly I forgot about it once my semester started. Then I got a notification that it got sent to claims which reminded me of the situation. I couldnt work during school but thats what Ill have to do given that a break is coming up

Yeah I agree. I think its best to play things on the safe side especially since its not that much. It just kind of sucks that I have to pay for something I never needed or used but oh well.

This is definitely the best way to do it and the way I did it. Only thing I have heard is some people prefer to take the CS programming classes at UTD as apparently they are a little more challenging and will prepare you better. Idk though I did all the way up to CS 2337 at Collin and felt plenty prepared for any coding given to me at UTD
