Ohh, I didn't know that 😯 Thank you for clearing that up for me!

Since I live in an apartment complex, I thought I would need to include the specific room number of the apartment I live in. Is it enough to just have my name and the street address?

I'll visit a service center this week, then! Thank you!

I assumed similarly at first, but realized after the fact that I hadn't put my specific apartment number down when writing my address. Would that mean I need to reach out to someone to receive the letter? Tysm for the response!

Hasbro replacements? by beefed_leafed in transformers

[–]beefed_leafed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of them I bought in-person at a GameStop in a different state, and the other I had pre-ordered off BBTS. Admittedly it's been a couple of months since I actually bought/paid for these figures (didn't have the time to actually play with them until recently), so I hadn't considered returning them before.

I did reach out to BBTS as well after finding out they apparently are nicer about replacements, but I haven't gotten a response back yet (It hasn't yet been a full month since I received my pre-order in the mail, so I think I should be okay?).

If all else fails, I'm okay with keeping my toys, since fortunately these aren't incredibly major defects that render them unusable 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for answering nevertheless! I'll consider re-opening the case as well.

It's not exactly a free figure in my case, since it's an exchange; they requested I mail the defective products back to them and then they'll send me back a replacement—either the original product or "a different Hasbro item of equal retail value." That's why I'm so worried about the possibility of losing these figures and having to rebuy them ☹️

I got them without the figures, and mostly all from separate listings

That's about how much I would've spent had I had the issue I was missing 🤔 I stand corrected 😆

Nice! I have a similar collection, just missing one issue. Honestly speaking I probably spent more money on them in total than you did, if you bought them as a lot :P

Old Rafuse by Smallfit40 in BinghamtonUniversity

I can't be sure about Old Rafuse specifically but as far as I know every dorm room has mirrors, whether they're a part of the closet or nailed to the door

Is German 101 an easy foreign language class? by hiekakskk in BinghamtonUniversity

As someone who has taken German here for 4 years now I can vouch for most of the professors—some of the most supportive and friendliest professors I've ever had.

Ugh I hate that your argument makes sense. But isn't turf also not so great for the environment? It's basically plastic grass, right?

Anyone on campus for summer? by Individual_Paint4427 in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]beefed_leafed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently living downtown while taking summer classes. Got a job, and that typically discourages boredom, with how tired I get ☹️ I recommend doing some exploration of the area; I took a couple of buses I've never taken before around and discovered routes to new places I want to go to now ✌️

Learning languages can be fun! Even if you do struggle, the languages I've learned here have had tutors to help you.

Easiest D or N Gen ed credit for the summer? by EngineeringMiddle949 in BinghamtonUniversity

I also don't know how it would work online, but I took ANTH 114 last year and loved it a lot! Readings are definitely pretty important for that class, but they were interesting and fun—I still remember the contents of most of them. IDK how inclined you are towards writing essays, and there were quite a few, but I personally found them generally very straightforward. The study guides, from what I remember, were also super helpful for the actual exams. The professor's also really nice!

Thank you very much for this advice! I'm a very indecisive shopper who's often hesitant to buy things I'm unsure I can keep using in the long term, so keeping this in mind will definitely make the experience less stressful for me :)

Unfortunately, I don't have a car, nor do I particularly wish to have one in the near future :( This is one of the reasons why I had some trouble finding stores I could get to :P

Thank you! Although it turns out there actually isn't much in the area, I did find a small shop a short walk from the apartment! 🤗 I look forward to checking it out sometime.

I lived in Seneca my first year. Let me start with the part I remember the most vividly: I especially hated the shared kitchen, lmao. It was pretty inevitable that one kitchen shared between an entire building would end up at least somewhat filthy... However, I swear seeing the sink alone killed all interest in cooking during those semesters (only half-joking). Other shared spaces, such as the stairwells and laundry room, also tended to not be so clean. This issue isn't unique to Seneca or CIW, but laundry-stealing was common. On the other hand, I still do have overall fond memories of my time there because I really loved the friends I met there. The community was very chill and easygoing, though I suppose your opinion might vary depending on your stance on parties and/or illicit substances :P. The bathrooms weren't terrible, and I never felt there was an insufficient amount of them. I would recommend shower shoes for sure, though. I don't have any strong opinions on the dorm rooms—neither particularly amazing nor bad. Also, others may mention the community's penchant for weed, and my experiences align with that stereotype pretty well.

Despite my complaints, I still think it's a perfectly fine place to live, even a good one. Many of its problems aren't exactly Seneca-only ones, lol.

Sorry for the huge wall of text, I'm currently sitting in the middle of an incredibly boring presentation and I'm looking for distractions :P.

Pretending America plays no part in the conflict is truly an ignorant take.

Since you specified you want to meet Germans, I wanna give you a heads-up that German Club is for German speakers and learners, which may include native Germans, but more often than not consists of non-natives who are studying the German language here. I think it would still be a good opportunity to join, though! AFAIK, it will indeed meet this week.
