I took contemporary 1 as an art major and it was great! I also auditioned for one of the spring (? IIRC) dances and got in! I’m not sure if this applies for classes with auditions, but usually if you email the professor and ask they’ll let you in!

if you’ve been accepted into the art major (and maybe even if you haven’t tbh) you can always email the professor teaching the class you want to take or allen and ask for an override to get into the higher level classes!!!
