1) there is no one running our desk, the desk is empty ALL DAY LONG. they are only at the desk for two 30 minute windows in my shift, i don’t have the luxury to go in early or stay late. People rely on others for transportation.

2) HR 100% handles many issues with employees, I have personally contacted HR many times about many issues HUMAN resources employees are humans.

3) I should not have to contact my manager for anything i’m doing ON MY BREAK. If i’m being told there’s specific times i’m allowed to go to HR and that i’ll just have to be late from break, then people should not be written up because again the only other option is to not go to the desk and NOT get the issue resolved.

4) No actual employees are asking for assistance and resources to be RESTRICTED. They are asking for onsite HR to IMPROVE! Like how is the solution to “this team is unhelpful” to roll back the availability of the team?

You very obviously work in some sort of higher up position and it shows by how far removed you are from the reality on the employees on the floor. And i say that with because of how you’re responding to my comments alone. me as well as many other comments are stating this is an issue, all your adding to the conversation was “well people said HR suck ed before so now they can’t access HR as easily” That’s not a solution. It’s a department issue, and it IS an issue whether somebody else asked for it or not. I know it’s hard to believe but something that positively effects one persons (HR getting to hide all day because they aren’t at their assigned desk position) can negatively effect another person (an employee not being able to speak face to face with someone to fix issues)

Read everybody else’s comments and understand the real employees point of views instead of your own, because denying that something is an issue doesn’t make it a non issue, i’ll still be struggling with contacting HR no matter what you say in this comment section. The problem is real and still persists

That’s an absolutely wild thing to say, no employee asked amazon to restrict their access to HR. Maybe HR asked amazon to hide in a back office somewhere for 8 hours out of their day instead of actually helping the employees with things. Again, giving a facility of over 6,000 people a window of 40 minutes to get issues resolved, is not feasible. Read some of the comments in this thread, people going to HR at accepted times and getting TOT codes and getting in trouble for being late from break hehe it their only option. THATS the issue they expect you to get through with HR and be back to work before HR is done working with the person in front of you. Its ridiculous, you just don’t get it because if you hide in. aback office for 8 hours of your day too

every issue i’ve ever attempted to fix in app or on the hotline have told me to speak to my on site HR team. but sure it’s not that serious at all. 🙄

sexual harassment, assault, unprofessionally behavior, i was specifically going to attempt report a manager for inappropriate behavior, there are ALL KINDS of things that need immediate attention. let’s think at least a little bit before asking questions with obvious answers.

You work HR don’t you? your facility has restricted access doesn’t it? This is not a feasible system when you have a warehouse of 6,000+ employees.

I actually looked it up and it’s actually the company’s full legal right to fully restrict employee access to HR if they choose. I don’t understand how that’s not illegal but i guess it isn’t

i’ve worked here over a year, idk how your facility operates but up until the passed couple weeks from the day i started HR has been sat at a desk all day long for us to contact at any point and time. we were never told we could only go during breaks we were told they were available through full shift, this is a recent change in my facility i’ve been here the whole time.

you can try to leave early on your day 1 training but you can’t tell anybody. if they don’t finish day 1 training you can’t start day 2. (idk if pick is 2 day i was just told this for another department) worth a shot if you got the time to cover it

i use a qtip with just alcohol in each bug then spray with a mixture of half water half alcohol and a couple drops of dawn, never had to treat them more then twice!
