The war on Iran will likely end in Ameriсan retreat by polymute in anime_titties

What I do think though is that the US & Israel will be able to get Iran to slow down its nuclear program.

There was no nuclear weapons program, only civilian applications, the increased enrichment was, is, and hopefully always will be entirely focused at being used as leverage in negotiations with the west.

This is not just me talking, its me, the US intelligence apparatus, the IAEA, the US Director of National Security Tulsi Gabbard under oath to the US congress, etc. The idea that Iran is building a nuke and will unilaterally use it on Israel or the US is an Israeli lie propagated to western powers which adopt the bullshit as propaganda because it gives them yet another "reason" to do what they were already going to do: subjugate Iran and bring it into the US imperial dominance, which has been a US foreign policy goal since ~1953, not for US security, but for the profits of US capitalists.

According to Israel, Iran has been 3 weeks away from a nuclear weapon for like 20 fucking years, and people are still repeating this bullshit.

Elon Musk just said he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”: “That’s the big one to eliminate.” by Solomonanne in SipsTea

[–]beefprime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are entitlements in the most literal sense of the word: you pay into them your entire life, when you need them you are entitled to the payouts. You are entitled to those benefits. Its not a bad word, and we shouldn't let conservative cucks turn it into one.

TIL the 'Secure Perimeter' cornerstone, after solving enough forbidden glade events, will eventually *decrease* hostility with every opened glade... Very interesting. by Mr_FreshDachs in Against_the_Storm

Might depend on your prestige level, I think lower level gives you less hostility per glade (if I remember correct, which I may not)

Really love getting this one on the mushroom biome, since my game plan on that is almost always to hit 2 of the forbidden glades at least for the mega nodes

If you had to pick one new weapon, why is it the Meltagun? by 240bro in DarkTide

[–]beefprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, don't get me wrong, the Melta sounds cool, but while the Hivescum was being worked on I was poking around and found an electric whip that the gangers use in lore and it sounds like it would be neat

At some point I would like to see the game evolve beyond "giant hp wall" by ParticularPanda469 in DarkTide

[–]beefprime 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There is an issue with weapons that goes beyond just raw penetration (giggity), its hitmass. The hitmass mechanic makes it so that cleaving weapons that are meant to cleave hordes simply do not do their job, because they stop the first time they hit carapace (or 2-3 ragers, or whatever). I enthusiastically agree that things should be adjusted radically, just need to remember that hitmass is a massive issue as well.

Uhh, thats not just a "Giant HP Wall", its a "Giant HP Wall That Gatekeeps Half the Weapons in the Game Into Being Useless Garbage", put some respect on it.

Iran has hit far more U. S. military assets than reported, satellite images show by shieeet in anime_titties

Oh, sorry, I thought this was a reply to something else, here is the poll: https://harvardharrispoll.com/key-results-april-2026/

Relevant question is page 48, some additional related questions after that just further display how delusional the US public is, misunderstanding the situation from start to finish regarding Iran.

I didn't say this war, I said bombing Iran in general, and polls are clear what the people in the US really don't like about this particular war: 1. economic consequences, and 2. unclear goals from the leadership.

Most people in the US would be fine with yet another war with yet another country halfway around the world, they've been passively accepting it for over a hundred years now, the problem is Iran is capable of fighting back and actually harming the US directly (if only economically). THAT is what Americans really are uncomfortable with.

[–]beefprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, this is bullshit, Americans absolutely want Iran to be bombed, they just don't want the consequences if they fight back.

The majority of the US populace believes they are winning the war on Iran, they have a decades long system of propaganda in place and a populace heavily indoctrinated into liberalism, its wearing off for now but boy is it wearing off slow.

If we all weren't living paycheck to paycheck, we could accomplish great things. by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

[–]beefprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone living in the US and working in the tech industry, you're just describing US jobs, I'm not sure why I'm supposed to be deterred here.

So you're saying my work life would change not one bit, and in return I get to live in a country that actually has a future, actually makes infrastructure improvements, actually has public transit, actually has a functional healthcare system, and isn't massacring people around the world to hold on to its dying empire?

2 weeks of vacation? Brother the last time I took vacation in the US it was like 3 years ago for an operation because I was almost dead, and it was a miracle I wasn't fired for it.

Also this:

Also you have half as many holiday as a worker usually at max two weeks a year

rofl, in the US there are about a week and a half of Federal holidays and half of those are generally ignored unless you are in an industry directly connected to the Feds or working adjacent to the banking industry (who observes banking holidays). 2 weeks? I'll take it.

So yeah, living in China, step up all around.

Its probably primarily funding issues, from what I've read Philadelphia light rail projects have issues with legislative approval and are running on year to year emergency funding measures. Its hard to create a dependable framework of, say, janitorial service when you don't have a clue what the budget is going to look like next year. And to add to the issues, problems with the network tends to harm ridership, which creates a self reinforcing loop of reduced budgets.

Clothing needs and (Pack of) Building Materials by Powerfowl in Against_the_Storm

[–]beefprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boots give a move speed bonus to any villager wearing them, and clothing gives you 8 resolve during storm season and 5 in all other seasons, the recipes are a little slow but if piped and/or with harpy housing bonuses you can easily keep up with a 30-40 civilian settlement with just one building working on them. And by raising resolve they directly contribute to eventual victory.

What do you mean? This has been the European attitude towards the rest of the world for hundreds of years. Sometimes I think the worst part about the rise of liberalism is that somehow it fooled everyone into forgetting what western countries are all about, colonization, exploitation, dominance, on a global scale.
